For years I have been using Agoda to book hotels in SEAsia and have had no complaints. In BKK I stay in the Rembrandt Suk 18 or 20 which I like because of the piped birdsong. Today I started the process (number of rooms, length of stay) and got to the details of client at which point it asked me my nationality (UK) and refused to go any further on the grounds that the Rembrandt only deals with certain agents (including Agoda, one supposes, since it is on their website). I don't know what would have happened if I had pretended to be a Finn or a Bangladeshi or a Peruvian. I am so glad the hotel scene in BKK is so thriving that they can turn down clients. When I was trapped in BBK at the end of November they were glad enough to take my money. I haven't come across this before: is it common?

Seems like a bug on the Agoda website. You tryed to book directly at the hotel website? I stayed there before too, but now I avoid this hotel because of their joiner fee.
