Take a look at Siam Bayshore resort. They recently renovated most of their rooms or all the rooms by now. The price is not bad either...and they are in walking distance to the night life strip.
Of course the nice one is Centara Mirage Beach resort. Beside other stuff, they have a big beach area with alot beach chairs. The beach area by their resort was pretty clean. Also, you can take their shuttle bus from Centara in Bangkok to Pattaya.
