I found a potential nice place (so it appears on the net) that might work for me. Has anyone stayed at the First House Hotel? I am looking for a clean place, cheap (less than 1000 B all inclusive) that has a good free breakfast. I heard Manhattan might fit this criterion but their website shows a much higher rate and I cannot get into the link for http://www.resorthotel.net for some strange reason (to get the 920 B all inclusive rate). Any help would be appreciated. Arrival 2/12 late.

Hello, I am also looking into this serviced appartment place which is quite good located and cheap. Any one knows about guest policy ? Thanks for advuces. BK, it would be very helpful to keep update the link of Girl/Guest friendly hotels and serviced appartments. For example, place like Royal President, Nana Tai Mansion, etc .. don't appear though they are several times quoted as G friendly in the various topics.

I stayed at First House last month (June '04). The hotel is a mixed bag: down a busy very narrow Soi right on the edge of Pratunam market & perfect for people buying up clothes, ultra low-cost, clean enough, fairly dark rooms without enough embellishments (those that I saw), e.g. blank walls, no drawer units, a lot of noise in the neighbourhood especially mornings though not Sunday early, good little café style restaurant, desperately slow lifts, okay staff. Very popular with other oriental nationals. Guest-friendly to a degree. If you book for two then the first lady you bring to the hotel will be registered as your partner for the duration of your stay! She'll be given a card to be enable her to get the key anytime plus she'll get vouchers for the buffet breakfast (which btw I didn't try). It's an ok hotel in a useful location. Much better than most cheapies in Bangkok.
