Hello all
Just a question about mini bars in the rooms of the Majestic Hotel. Do you get charged a extra fee for every item you use in the mini bar???? Ex 1.00 per beer used or .75Cents for each soda drank?reason I ask this question is one time in my younger yrs of travel I checked into a hotel with a mini bar ( This is the 1st time I stayed at such place) Anyway My ex and I drank all the beer in that fridge that night and also drank a fewshots of the little bottles of whiskey they had too. well turns out that each beer was 2.50 and each little bottle of wiskey was 3.50 each and I ran up a rather good bill. Remeber I was young and stupid then unlike now when I.m old and not quite as stupid LOL. I guess I could just find out and ask the service people at the time of check in But I kindsa like to have the info know for curious sake. Rock on guys

I stayed at MS in November and I do not remember such a thing. Anyway, after the wild night with Nee, I charged up the almost emptied minibar with items from 7/11 before I checked out. 555...!

Minibars should always have a list of the items contained and cost to use such items. The costs in BKK are not as high as other places, but still high compared to what you can buy in the street. The first time I stayed in BKK we had a suite with a kitchen at the Queen's Park hotel. My kids ate me out of a small fortune very quickly, and the maids kept filling it up with more and cleaning up after them. Since they were there for two months this got expensive very fast. After that we always insisted that they removed everything from the minibar when with the chilluns.
I would recommend that you do a quick check of the minibar on check in to make sure everything is in order. If a bottle of whiskey is missing make them replace it then. I'd also say stock it with your own additional items (the first bottle or two of water may be free: ask) and only get into the hotel's stock for emergency or if you don't mind the extra cost.

Also watch out for the bottles that have already been opened, had an experience in the Landmark when they try to charge me for a 1/4-litre bottle of JW that had been opened very carefully and topped up with water by the previous occupant.

Take all that shit out, stick it in the closet, and go to food land soi 5. Buy your stock in excess so you dont have to send one of your honeies out late. Going out for more shit late in the night suck for you too... When your going to check out, put the stock from the closet back in the bar...

This applies to everywhere I stay if there is a mini bar and fridge. I always take stocks when I check in and make a note, next I remove all the drinks in the fridge and replace them with my own( meaning duty free that I bought in the airport and others from convenience store nearby).

Agree with BIGIN. Remove all the overpriced shit of the minibar and fill it up with items of the nearby 7-11. Put the junk back hours before you check out....just be sure that the hotel has no daily surveys on the items taken out from the minibar....you may think on something then....

I guess this is why the maid is not surprised to see all the stuff either in the drawers or on the self!! ha ha ha ha!!
I also the same thing. This way when tg comes to the room, I don't have to monitor what she opens or eats from the bar area. But .. if I forget, then I just see what was drunk or eaten and then run down to 7-11 and pick up the same thing and replace it!! ha ha ha ha!!
Works either way!!
