Has anybody recently stayed at either the Ambassador or the Honey?
I have ready reports that the Ambassador smells of chlorine, and some say it is girl friendly, and some do not. I have been quoted US$33 per night, for a tower room via a booking agency.
Has anybody stayed there who likes it? Any comments welcome.
Same goes for the Honey. I have been quoted 900baht for a double delux, including refridgerator. In their own words, they are not a large hotel, and do not have a lot of online info.
My only hotel experience in BKK is the Majestic Suites, but this time I want to check out Soi Cowboy more than Nana.

I too am looking at the Honey hotel...in general, how would you say the rooms compare to the Majestic? Also, do they hassle you with overnight guests as far as an extra charge?
Jingjo - what did you mean about trying your luck with the Robinson girls...do they usually freelance?

I never stayed at the Honey but stayed at the Ambassador once for a 7 days. My personal experience was as follows.
The room in the Main wing are sh*t and the tower wing are good.
They do not have an in room safe but have one at the lobby which is accessable 24 HRS no restriction and no charges.
The breakfast is included in the price.
The rooms are clean (tower wing)
They do not apear guest friendly but if you book a double room you would be confronted once but after you've clarify them that you have booked a double they would let you go without the charge and would not bother you again. I was confronted once but after I made a little scene in the lobby and they checked their computers they apologised and let me go to my room.
Last time I stayed I got a price of 1300 THB (July 03) and a booking for Jan 04 has costed me 1520 THB incl all taxes through planetholiday ppl.
Do let me know incase you require any further info on this
