Can anyone recomend some good places to go for a drink with my Thai wife.
Preferably central Bangkok. I know a lot of the places to go as I used to live in Bangkok but which ones get busy during the week.
Is Thong lo busy during the week?

If you go to any english book store in BKK you can find some books which outline all the trendy bars and restuarants in BKK. That might give you some new Ideas.
Asking where is a busy place during the week to drink is an enormously vague request. What kinda scene are you looking for?

Fair enough it is a vague queston.
Its just I rememner most of the places I used to like visiting in places like Thon Lor, Sarasin Silon soi 4 etc were generaly dead during the week.
Not been to BKK for a while so was looking for tips really.

If you are looking to hangout and dance I would try Santika in Ekamai. Far too crowded at the weekend but good during the week. Plays great music, no hookers and is a lot of fun. Not expensive.
(Thonglor is a bit passe with most of that crowd now in RCA)

Santika is a cool place. Lots of uni students ( real uni students, not the ones hang out with LY) and stunners aplenty. Most guys bring their own dates there. Warning : music is very very LOUD ! So if you are not "young" ( at heart ), then it maybe too loud and too "young" for you.

Yeah Santika is a good option as well as RCA. Flix and Slim are busy any day of the week. Would recommend to avoid Models night at Flix on Tuesday. Its way too busy and those models c***s act like they own the place and since nobody dare to tell them they dont know how to dance they keep on making a fould of themsleves.
Btw, that new club on RCA, where Drift use to be is going to open soon. Sound system is fantastic and there should be some serious partying there.

Zantika is on Soi Ekamai. Forgot what Soi it is near as you are driving up Ekamai, but it is on the left (East side), probably.5-1Km from Suk. It is not right on the road. It has a good sized parking lot in front of it, and is set back probably 50m from the road.

Yo,
My mate is here in L.A. for a Thai celebrity football (soccer) match, he is on those cheesy thai soap oprea's.
I have been back here for just over a year and asked him where he goes out these days. He said RCA has become the place for thai's.
We used to hit Forte, Q-Bar, Bed etc but my buddy told me that RCA is really good these days.
