Wake up in good time considering amount of alcohol that I had drunk. round about 10am get showered etc have to be out off room by 11 or pay for another day. I bet the hotel/guesthouses make a lot of money after full moon party with people oversleeping. Anyway head to ferry as there is a boat at 11:30
Around 12:30 arrive on Samui. Would you believe it there was a Western Camera crew filming all the party goers returning to Samui. Day 7 Friday 20th May

Again woke up late. Felt very refreshed after not drinking the night before and having a long sleep

Then decide to head to beach been here few days now and hadn’t really been to the beach. Went to area of chewing called monkey beach not the busiest part and further south than Ark bar. Have to pay for a parasol here tho. But eating on the beach I always like. Then headed back to my room in a songtaow again had to negotiate him down. It is no surprise 90% of taxis and songtaows ride around empty. Get taxi to stop at Muay Thai Training Camp. Go in talk to guy there. Told him I am beginner would like a few lessons so arrange one for 5:30 the next day. Apparently was Southern champion, Just a building with 2 walls and roof. A ring but not in pristine condition and some punching bags etc. Apparently he usually has day off on a Sunday but he said ok. Basically the Muay Thai is my excuse for going Thailand as I train martial arts in UK so I need at least some pictured and videos of my training/ some boxing shorts and equipment.
Head back to room get freshened up for food. However Have problem with my ATM couldn’t get significant amount from either of my 2 debit cards- I hate credit cards I am not a borrowing money kind of person but a credit card would have been usefull in this situation. Anyway turns out had spent almost my entire budget bar about £100 in the first week. Buying the plane tickets, the night I got hammered in Bangkok and the Full moon party were all significant expenses I hadn’t planned for, Anyway got a family member to put some money into my account and I would have to go easier next few days. In future should make allowance for such a f*** up of my budget.

Day 9 Sunday 22rd

Day 10 Monday 23 May

Day 12 Wednesday 25 May

Arrived Lamai cost 300 for both not bad so they can go lower if you force the issue with them. Anyway once walked down first street in Lamai automatically liked it more than Chewang. More relaxed Monger atmosphere than Chewang especially green Mango. There are loads of beer bars. There are 3 main bar beer complexes all with 10 minutes walk of each other cant remember exact directions but I have some good maps. If anybody is interested please message me.

Day 13 Thursday 26 May
Woke up to the sound of May moving around getting dressed. She wanted to leave early. Next Up was the Quad bikes which loved. Nearly killed my self within first 50 M as Quad nearly rolled over but gradually got the hang of it. Was only listed for 20 Minutes but paid extra and had bout 45 mins total also had a brief stop in Waterfall No 1 was very nice Back on ATV. Was flying up and down these hills by the end of the time some very tough terrain. Defiantly worth a go but obviously no insurance for it so if had wrecked vehicle or myself would have been screwed. Next up was Elephant trekking. They have a docking station type area where you climb up to get on Elephant purchased some Bananas and the professional photo then headed of. Did enjoy it but went on for a long time and did get bored. And Ran out of Bananas quickly. The tour guide suggest I move off the seat and sit on shoulder. I did so cautiously and nearly feel off a few times. The “driver” then took loads of picture of me on the elephant as it was moving with me sitting on its shoulders. He then hopped back on and headed back to start. Picked up my photo and then headed of to Waterfall No 2
I drew the line with trekking. Thailand doesn’t have a good recorded with animals and I wont watch the shows out of principal but elephant trekking seems somewhat natural. Also before I left the park same Indian couple as earlier were trying to get an elephant treK which they had not had time to dO. But wardens said no more elephants finished for the day they need to rest. They even turned down a few thousand baht which Indians were offering. Must say I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by their safeguarding of the elephants welfare.
The final activity was the trip to Watefall No 2 Which was much bigger than No1. Seemed huge to me but I havn’t ever visited any other waterfall in the world.. So it was new to me. Perhaps wouldn’t be as impressive if you have been to Victoria falls etc. Anyway took a load of photos then notices a couple coming out of a path so headed in that directions and was basically a rope which indicated a path up the waterfall. Took about 15-20 minutes to ascend. Wouldn’t recommend it for the very young the old or the generally unfit as took quite a bit of effort. I am still a 9 year old at heart so I loved climbing through the trees.
Very nice view over much of the Island from the top was 1 couple up their. Both American but girl was of Asian decent and very cute. So did perv on her a bit. But they were both friendly. Took a swim in small pool at top had never been in freshwater before. Was so refreshing was freezing cold. Very slippery underfoot and slippery as very uneven so fell a few times.
Climbed back down and found a guide who then took me back to hotel. Got back around 6Pm was happy to have had a good active day. Trying to stick to my budget no mongering tonight. Instead just went out for food and had evening swim.

Day 14 Friday 27 May
Today I had decided to check out Lamai by day
Went via my friends bike – I had given up about arguing over the bike by this point and I couldn’t afford to keep using the rip off songtaeows.
The area is more relaxed than Chewang even in the daytime. Although beach wasn’t as nice. The water felt a bit colder as well. I can’t explain why but a noticeable degree or so cooler than chewang beach.
The beach is quieter- there are far fewer jet ski’s around there are also less of the beach traders that bother you every 5 mins on Chewang.
We basically spent most of the day here. Beach was next to bar and we basically had breakfast lunch and dinner at this place- cant remember name of place- but was popular with the French. So much so that there were a few gang looking types with their wives who were topless. (The bad type of topless women) her tits were bigger than my head lol.
Headed back to the room about 4pm and had a dip in the pool beach then showered and went out for food.
Tonight I decided to try Soi Reggae. Many more beer bars here than along Chewang beach road which is mostly clubs. Songtaow drove to end and then got off. Walked back looking in the bars.
Ended up in one of the bars opposite chewing stadium. Be careful there were a couple of LB’s working in this bar but was mostly girls. The LB’s were hideous though so I wouldn’t worry about not being able to tell the difference. 2 girls in here there looked nice- both were had thicker bodies but were not toned and hard bodied like the girl from Lamai both were a little overweight. Didn’t plan on staying here though- my friend got bored and headed of. Day 15 Saturday 28
Thought I would do some of the standard tourist fare today seen as it was my last full day Went to see Big Buddha and the other statue nearby- wat something or over the one with lots of arms – both looked cool enough but didn’t hold my attention for long.
I explored the old fisherman’s village area near bangrak quite nice down that area really away from most tourists, stopped and had a (non alcoholic) drink in the billabong bar. Head back to Monkey beach area of chewing for some food, must say I am getting pretty fed up of the beach now- but my poor budgeting on this trip has taught me a lesson lol.
Head back to room- stomach is still feeling a bit off so stuck to English food for last few days.
Showered and went out to chewing. Stopped in Solo bar again. The same full figured girl is working there again but Again I didn’t like to ask her whether she would go with me. Lesson learned in future what’s the harm in asking. Anyway played some pool in the bar with my friend till he tried to cheat – trying to change the rules regarding the black ball- he got in a strop so I told him to f*** off and carried on the night by myself
Thought I would walk to Soi Reggae. So off I walked- Harassed by countless Indians, I have no problems with Indians and many of my friends in UK are in fact Indian since I lived in Midlands for a while but the people here really piss me off. They try to fake English accents, try to force to shake hands, “ah my friend” There is only so much I can take.
Walked long way down beach road. Pass Pink lady after closer inspection there are some real hotties in here. Although I have read they are 2000+ Short time from. which is too high for Samui. Would have been tempted but today is Champions League final so needed to find a bar which is showing the football.

So left and continued further down the soi. Walked in Reggae club was dead – but their were a few families dotted about- not my type of place- might change a lot later at night though but headed of in search of bar showing football.

Was hoping to find a bar with girl sexy enough for after football. The only girl I found really attractive in their seemed to be the boss- late 20’s maybe early 30’s very pretty good English, quite tall for a Thai and bigger frame for a thai but no hint of LadyBoy and I had only had a couple of drinks by this point
Anyway I tell the girl I initially thought was cute who is hanging on to me- that I like the girl behind the bar, she goes over and tell her, she then comes and sits with me. Fortunately She won about 5000 baht of them after being down a few thousand baht herslef which was funny as they were a bunch of arrogant little shits.
Anyway 30 mins or so after full time whistle bar begins to close. Locks up.
. I paid barfine of 500 for her- I don’t know why was high she said was “because I boss” I didn’t believe her but because she was so hot I didn’t mind. I also didn’t take her until after the bar was closed so I don’t really think I had to pay BF at all but this turned out to be irrelevant in the end.
The girls all go back to some kind of shared house and lock up their bikes- seems like most of the girls live together. Call taxi to come and pick us up. From here on my girl started to act strange tho – kept asking me whether I sure I want to go with her. I say yes over and over.
