Will get on to trip report shortly but first thought would give a more general guide to Koh Samui as there is not a huge wealth of information on Samui available on most of the forums which I have read and even less information which is recent.
Prices generally seem to be 500- 1500 St and 1000-2000 Lt depending on the girl and any other relevant factors. A few places might ask for more. Pink lady is reportedly expensive and so are the 2 gogo’s GB lounge and dream girls.
In terms of looks generally harder to find stunners than the Bangkok Gogo’s but there are certainly enough around just have to do a bit of legwork. From what I have learnt girls when they first start in P4P seem to go wherever they have friends. So if a girl has a friend working in Samui that’s where she will go regardless of how attractive or not she is so there are stunners everywhere.
Almost every venue is open air so it can be very hard to escape the heat at night time. Only club with air con was sound club but this is only a small room within sound club so gets packed.
Chewang beach
Green Mango area
Seems much more of a party place than a Mongering place, but there are still plenty of gilrs available.
I would suggest that Green mango and surrounding area in general is predominantly a freelancer area, there are a few bars here and there but majority of girls are in the Clubs/Discos
Green Mango- Very strict with age in this place. Wouldn’t let Thais in who were under 21. Don’t know why not the normal 18 but logic doesn’t always seem to be present in LOS. Main stream RNB in front section, more House style Music in back. Most days was the busiest club. Many freelancers inside also.
Sweet and Soul. Complete variety of music a lot of mainstream pop/Rnb. Seems to be where the ladyboys park themselves next to the entrance. But don’t go in instead they buy cheap drinks in plastic cups from a place directly opposite sweet and Soul. Also spotted a lots of camp looking guys in this place on a few occasions so think tends to be where the gay section head to. Green Mango tends to be busier but on a couple of nights Green Mango was empty and Sweet and Soul was packed why I have no Idea. Not so many freelancers as green Mango I don’t think
Sound Club- Doesn’t get going till about 3 once Green Mango and all the other clubs start closing around 3:30. Mix of Music in different areas. Club is quite large and only club with Air Con. But a verygood club in my opinion and well laid out. Also all the girls from the Beer bars go’gos tend to go straight to Sound after work so has perhaps the best selection in one place.
Also there is a small club if you walk out of green mango and go right. Stays open late, think plays trance style music mostly. Forget name but club is a kind of purple blue colour, never went in. But one of my girls told me lots of freelance girls go there as well.
GB lounge and Dream Girls gogo's, (Club 69 didn’t appear to exist anymore) only popped my head in these briefly girls looked ok but no better than elsewhere but like I said all these girls empty into clubs later anyway.
This area is full of Young Falangs, Just as many Females as Males. Expect some dodgy looks. I am 23 so when with a girl of similar age I got some dodgy looks, nobody ever said anything and they would have heard a mouthful if they had but If you are older says 40’s upwards expect even more evil looks. Not something that bothers me personally but I could undertand why other people might not like this.
Massage Girls
Nida. There are 3 nida massage shops ll close by. There is Nida Massage and bar which is on the road which leads to Chewang beach road as if you were coming from Big C, there is another on soi solo (soi starbucks) and there is one more in chewing beach road. I forget where but I think between soi green mango and soi solo.
The majority of the massage parlours are near the first nida mentioned above. 5 or 6 with girl outside trying to pull you in.
One of my regrets that didn’t try massage as did beer bars, gogos, freelancers. But leaves things left to try..
Pink Lady bar I believe has massage on the Premises. It is on Chewang beach road on your right as you go up one way part, a fair distance from green mango area though just before that you turn right on to take you towards soi reggae. Only saw this place on mylast day and had 2 or absolute stunners in there wish had seen it sooner. Lthough have read is expensive in there+
Had read about a king El massage place but couldn’t find one think has closed. Heard there were meant tobe a few massage places on south side of soi solo but only pool bars again really.
Soi Solo
Solo Club back of soi Solo has closed.
Solo- Bar – needs to decide wther a bar or club- too loud for a bar but no dance floor- almost pointless unless they have livemusic on which they did a couple of nights.
Had read that north side of soi solo wss a gay area and there is certainly one gay club but one nida in on north side and other places as well are not gay cubs.
Also There is lots of work going on down the middle of soi solo which I believe used to be the coffe shop, but apparently is going to be a new bar/club
Those looking for a ladyboy need look no further than Stars or Christy’s Cabaret Both within a shortwalk from green mango..Can easily chat themup after the late performance. Also I saw the same ladyboys at sweet and soul later on. The Cabaret are good fun to watch even if you are not looking for ladyboys and there are plentyVof regular tousist couples in their watching the shows.
Also is a playgirls (bar) big signs for it along beach road and had a look but ddnt go inside so many girls so little time!
Soi Reggae.
Reggae pub. Walked in here once was early say 11Pm not empty, had live band but there were familys with kids in their Immediatly walked out as not a place to monger at Least not at this time and headed to the beer bars.
Basically has wall to wall pool bars/ beer bars on either side of the road all the way to the reggae pub. Very little if anything to differentiate most of the bars Just have to have a look in a few and see what takes your fancy
Much less busy than green mango area and fewer young party goers
Lamai
If you are not into the clubs hen best bet formongering is Lamai by far. There are loads of beer bars. In basically 4 areas all within 10 minute walk from each other. Again not much to distinguish any of the bars
Fusion. Was empty at 12AM girls said doesn’t get busy this timeof year so I presume only busy around xmas time. Also a few LB’s milling around one og girls said there was a LB bar dpwn the small soi nextto it but I didn’t investigate.
More chilled than Chewang and more monger friendly was my impression.

Arrival in Samui
Just so report makes some degree of sense. Samui wouldn’t have probably been my first choice. But I have a family friend who is obsessed with Koh Samui, spends 3-4 months a year there and wants to buy a house. My occupation requires some degree of knowledge of Property law so was happy to have a look at Thai Law and see what I could work out. Not straightforward for foreigners to own property in LOS. Anyway I said I would have a look and he knew I wanted to go LOS, so he offered to give me 300 towards flights and pay for hotel in Samui/ show me around a bit. So a good deal for me I thought. So Samui it is
Samui Airport- should just comment on how beautiful this place is, can see mountains on either side, green everywhere, looks like your about to enter Disney land than an airport, little huts everywhere. Very impressed,
Got taxi from airport think paid around 300-400 Baht. Got to Hotel. Down a few bumpy roads called Krasin Garden home. Near Big C if heading away from Big C towards Chewang there is a family mart on the right hand side. Small road is opposite then right where the road crosses and you will see it. Basically a series of bungalows. Nice enough but relatively basic, showing fair amount of wear and tear probably looked quite nice when was first built. Very quiet maybe 30 bungalows only around 5 occupied. Guess would be a lot busier in peak season but not a great location
Pool and small shallow pool which big pool overflowed into. Since Complex was almost empty had pool to self most days and could fool around with a girl in there no prob.
My bungalow was near entrance and furthest from Pool. One of the bigger bungalows and has a Nice sized lounge area with fridge microwave, sink etc, There is a L shaped Sofa and a small single bed, loads of cupboard space, small bathroom floor is bottom of shower type which is not to my liking generally but there you go. Bedroom was AC nice sized and big Cupboard. Nice double bed with lights built into unit at one end and shelg near hear, great place to store all the Johnies within easy reach.
My friend came and met me, he always rents a scooter while he in Samui. I offered that I would pay difference so that cold hire a jeep as I don’t drive myself and driving a Bike on Samui is like Russian Roulette. But stubborn bastard thinks he is some born again biker or something, doesn’t even wear a helmet, f***in moron. The roads are awful on a lot of Samui- Holes all over the place twice much bigger than the the size of a scooter tyre, dumper trucks, Tons of crazy truck (U.S pickup truck style) drivers. I saw 2 accidents while I was there. Samui’s roads are a complete death trap. Rent a Jeep if you value your life. Consider yourself told The Transport problems are compounded by the Taxis ripping people off and the Songtaows try to rip you off just as much. Besides if a songtaows had an accident you would be just as screwed sitting on the back one of these things as you would on a bike if you are travelling at any significant speed. So Taxi is safest option, and the most expensive unfortunately. Depends on driver but some wouldn’t budge from 400 Baht for a 10 minute drive if late at night
Also my hotel wasn’t very close to Chewang so I was well and truly f***ed. Probably ended up spending £15-20 a day on taxis that hadn’t budgeted for.
Relax in hotel for a bit, catch up with him whilst girl from BKK (Miss B ) is huggin me all over.
Ok decide to head to chewing round 9 so get showered and changed. Since public holiday many of places on beach road was closed Ark Bar was open so headed there. Quite nice has mats and tables laid out on the beach which is quite nice. Had food in there as well. Expensive though and a completely westernised place really like most on Chewang.
Had a walk up and down chewing beach a few other places are open. All much the same form at as ARK bar really just not as popular. Decided to look round green mango- a ghost town everything was locked and otherwise boarded up because of the public holiday, bit depressing really for a first day somewhere new. My friend headed home and I went back to Ark Bar with girl and chilled into early hour of the night. Get some bloody annoying peddlers on the beach, a lot of small kids trying to sell jewellery that had made, becomes very annoying very quickly. Then threes the women trying toget you to buy the lantern that you release.
But even with a lot of places closed really could still tell a completely westernised place and amount of young couples/ single ferang girls was very high. If had gone with loads of mates would be a good party spot, like an asian version Ibiza or something of that ilk.
Anyway back to hotel with Miss B. Time for action. Initially f*** her bending over the sofa in doggy, they hoist her up so am cradling her whilst I f*** her as I am standing gradually moving around the room, she is very light so not really a problem. Drop onto the small single bed and then cum all over her ass cheeks. Again another good session.

I'd stay with internationally branded properties... expensive, but: (1) they will not risk their reputations doing what the local Thai and farang developers do with impunity; (2) they will hold value better through the down side of the property cycle; (3) they have stronger rental income potential; and (4) they have far better market reach upon exit.
... and, incidentally, the international brokers are little better... they have a farang face, but the Thais staffing these companies easily adopt local practices to get the sale... they conveniently place on the buyer responsibility for all due diligence on the mis-representations they "pass-on" from the developer to the buyer.
... keep in mind that there is no broker advocating for the buyer in Thailand... they ALL represent the seller.
... Koh Samui is not a place I would suggest your friend take a risk on 'local business practices' (e.g. nominee ownership structure, buying off plan, trusting any part of due diligence to brokers, etc.).
... in Koh Samui, I'd do only freehold title ownership, in a condo, which is completed, and whose developer can clearly demonstrate to your attorney their foreign owner alotment is valid.
... if you get into trouble in Koh Samui, a foreigner (not just farang, but a Thai not from Koh Samui) is without any recourse, and it could be a winner takes all loss.
... also... just a recommendation... you might suggest to your family friend that he first live there full time for a year (if he has not already done so) before making the commitment to purchase... seasonal visits are not the reality of residency.

Magnum. Thanks for advise. Never really got started with the house, the owner of the house wouldnt budge from a crazy asking price, instead the house is just sitting their falling into disrepair. Although my overall advise to my friend was that I wouldnt buy in Thailand but if he was set on it then to look for a proper firm from BKK.
The Property law in Thailand at a glance seems counter productive to be honest. With the popularity of Thailand as a vacation spot the complexities in owning Land in Los do nothing but discourage investment in LOS.

Day 5 Wednesday 18 May
Again woke up relatively late around 11 AM. Strolled over to Big C. they have a food court upstairs. It works via an electric card which you put money onto at a front counter There are a lot of different menus to choose from and they have a Western food section etc so I am sure everyone could find something they like. Very well priced and can easily feed 2 people more than one helping on about 250 Baht. After we eat time is around 2:30 Pm so decide we would go look at the time that the ferry leaves for Koh Phangnan.
Got Taxi to Ban Rak sea-train port. Price was 400 Baht per person,. Wouldn’t surprise me if tickets are significantly cheaper if not on day of full moon party. Ferry leaves at around 4pm so chilled and had a beer. There was getting a very big cue building up with white westerners but some asian tourists as well and a few Thai.
Boat was pretty packed when going over, journey took about 40 Minutes total. This was a group of 4 – 5 french girls who were giving me some evil looks the whole trip as I was cuddling up to my TG. f*** the fat hairy beasts. During the boat ride I asked the TG shall we sleep on beach, unsurprisingly she didn’t fancy this very much so instead we would look for a guesthouse type place, I know there would be hundreds on Phanhgan because of full moon party every month but I didn’t know how quickly the rooms would go its not peak season tho so might be a chance of getting a room. Trip itself was quite pleasant a nice view of bug buddah and coast line.
Found loads of places which advertising rooms but kept walking till found the beach, good that she had been before so knew where she was gong then headed back up the street to find room. Found a place in the end 600 baht plus 500 deposit.I have the reciept somewhere still but cant remember the name. I had left my passport on Samui and needed it for check in but my TG did the talking and so was no problem. Room was AC, and bathroom was bigger and nicer than one on Samui but still not a separate shower unit but last minute was more than fine. Room was a bit grotty and hadn’t been dusted in about a decade, ants on floor but for 1 night it will do.
Drop our stuff in room and head out, hadn’t took any valuables with me so wasn’t worried about leaving anything in my room.
Took a stroll along the beach around 5.30 was some setting up going on and just a few groups sitting around here and there. Stop in a burger king (or LOS equivalent cant remember) burgers were massive, Miss B didn’t get close to finishing hers but they were very tasty. There was some tabasco sitting on table which she hadn’t seen before, got her to try it, didn’t like it at all. To me most spicy sources taste the same. All the Thai people I met were not very adventurous with their food they tended to stick to same things.
Had a couple of San Miguel’s on beach and then walk back to room.
Buy a couple of full moon fluorescent t shirts on the way back. Very classy I know but there isn’t very much classy about a full moon party. Go to room change. I split money so girl was looking after some and I had over half. Heard lots of stories about thefts at full moon party.
Head back to beach again, things are starting to get busier know food stalls are out, and most of the bucket stalls are lined up ready. Took some cans of red bull and bottle of “Sangasom”(excuse the spelling) whiskey with me so we can top up the buckets on the cheap. Buy a bucket of voka rebull and get a few shot of whiskey on the house (or on the stall in this case)
Took a big towel and laid it down on the beach watching everybody gradually turn up, tide was coming in pretty quick so gradually had to move back. Girl knew a felang working in one of bars and she let us put the towel under the bar.
A comment generally lots of speed boats were dropping people off from Samui, probably quite expensive and very dangerous whizzing about in the dark, was in newspaper in England a number of tourists had died recently when two speed boats crashed ferrying people on full moon night so do the sensible thing and get their early and try to find a room.
Got through 2-3 buckets in the next few hours. We were doing drinking games and had to both use as many straws as possible for as long as possible. Then kept filling u using my big bottle of Samsung, Miss B kept disappearing off to get more ice.
Tide had come in a lot and was up to near my knees so people were dancing on the tables.
Which was quite cool although after seeing some thai workmanship probably wasn’t the greatest idea. There was this Latino couple dancing in front of us when we were on the tables. The girl was full figured latino as you would expect and could really dance. Miss B tried to copy her which was cute. I have been Brazil and I would comment generally that in terms of sexyness, provocativness passion, latino or Brazilian girls win hands down.
Miss B had got quite drunk by this point and was splashing water on everybody within about 5 meters and jumping round. She really is a party girl. In all the splashing my wallet had fell out of my pocket which wouldn’t have been a problem usually but popper had come off. so money fell out into the water managed to pick up most of it but think must have lost 2000 BAHT. Now I am really glad put some in Miss B’s pocket otherwise I would have probably lost more.
Around midnight I Headed to toilet told my girl to wait at bar as was packed at this point hard to move. Came out of toilet and I couldn’t find the girl anywhere. Walked around that area of beach 3-4 times but no luck. So went to bar where she knows girl asked have you seen her, no she says. Starting to worry now as had been looking for her 45 mins or so. Carried on looking around all the bars and spotted her dead in front of me, she was sitting there in tears she ran over a jumped into my arms. Where you go she says, I think you hurt or accident she says, stand with her and calm her down. She was standing with some thai guys and few felang girls. And felang girls insisted on telling me how stupid I was for leaving her alone. Later one of felang girls told me tht MissB was the most beautiful tg’s she had seen since she had been in LOS for 2 weeks and I agree, Miss B is definatly a stunner IMHO. Anyway we go get another drink and cuddle a bit,
Now walking around froms speaker system to speaker system with girl and out of corner ofmy eye I see a Thai Guy thrusting his hand towards my neck grabbed me round the throat, I Pushed his hands away ready to fight back but the other Thai guys pulled him back and stood in middle. Also miss B went nuts at him shouting in thai and English. I shouted why, as it really bugs me that I don’t know why I was grabbed,. Or what I might have done. Maybe I stood on his toe or something. But Miss B said something about he thought she was his girlfriend, but I think that’s bolocks, Maybe he just dint like me with this TG – jealousy maybe didn’t like tg with ferang but TG with ferang is hardly anything new in LOS. So I really don’t know why he had a problem with me. Anyway we decided to leave party now around 2:30 as really don’t wast to get in fight especially with a Thai as I think would end up lots of thais and just one of me. Although full moon party is probably only place where ferang would outnumber the thais. But doubt many bystanders would be overly willing to intervene to help me.
So back to room stop on way and buy some condoms as had left mine in samui. Hopeing all the drama was over for the night. Still really wound up, and pissed of why guy might have grabbed me TBH, so sit on bench on one of the walk ways in hotels by myslef to calm down for 30 mins or so. Ok feeling relaxed now but horny so we go at it again. Few positions came in spoons pulled out but condom had burst. f***ing crappy thai condoms first one I Use and it bursts. Anyway I tell her and both look a bit worried probably. But try to sleep but I am worried so get up tell her lets go medical centre as there are loads around and look for morning after pill. Go in one medical cent, she had visited this place last time she was on samui as a dog had bit her so they remembered her which was quite funny. Couple of lads asleep on seats in there/passed out Anyway two morning after pills one for now and one in 12 hours. About 300 Baht. Hopefully it worked. Back to hotel and sleep. TBH I am glad the day is over. But full moon party was definitely an experience and worth doing, if older than mid 30’s would probably feel/ look a bit out of place tho.d

C'mon, are you really trying to make us believe you can't see this one? Congratulations, you met your Thai BG's HUSBAND...or boyfriend. It's not uncommon for their boyfriends to shadow them sometimes when they're with customers. He thought he could keep his cool about it but when he got drunk enough, he lost it.
C'mon, the signs are all there...look how many people you said she knows in this place!! She clearly used to (or still does) work there, and probably has a family with that guy on the island. Be careful.

Vox - You could be right but Honestly I dont see this for the following reasons.
1. She works in BKK Gogo so that would be a long way to shadow his girl.
2. She knew people in Koh Samui because a customer had taken her and a friend to Samui for the half moon pArty a few weeks earlier (also from Suzie wongs) and she had the photos on her phone with the customer to prove it, and she pointed outto me where she stayed etc.
3. I couldnt read in her expressions (although I am no expert and was slightly drunk) that she recognised him in anyway.
