I am arriving for four days on Feb 5th, is this still high season?
The reason I ask, I was in town late October and to be honest it was kind of quiet. Apart from Angle Witch, NEP was dead.

Well, November was hopping.
I'll be in town Late February to Early March. I believe that High Season ends somewhere around February 7th or 10th, this year. Some hotels consider it high-season until March, though.

I've always thought of high season as continuing thru Songkran holidays in mid-April. So I would say you will definitely be here during high season.

I would say 1 April being the time when tourist levels definately drop off. There are some party people who come just for songkran in mid April.
Who cares what season it is? There is always a party to be had regardless. Who wants to be around tourists anyways. They suck.

Outside of Chinatown there is little effect caused by the Chinese New Year. Songkran (April 13 - 15) is the traditional Thai New Year (although the official New Year has been 1 Jan since 1940)...
