Last year I met a girl in BKK. Her nick name is Barbie. She had braces on her teeth, a nice cell phone, nice clothes and her english was pretty good....
So Barbie doll can afford english lessons, the latest mobile phone, designer clothes and cosmetic dental work but doesn't have any baht left to take her mother to the hospital?

A lot of bandwidth is being spent on discussing these 'golddiggers'.
Remember though that it long has been a tradition of the 'Oldest Profession' to extract the maximum amount of cash from the John for the minimum amount of work (in this case I guess you could use the term 'Goldbrick').
On the other hand, wives and social partners (the newest western term for GIKs) can prove to be more expensive than that of a common streetwalker. When you add up the cost of dinners, movies, gifts, and other costs above the day-to-day maintenance level (such as groceries, rent, utilities, etc.) you find that those relationships are quite expensive.
I visited one of my Chinese GIKs in HK recently and after I added up the costs of meals, a few nice blouses I brought her, local transportation, and entertainment, I could have saved more money by seeing a Sex141 girl.
At the end of the day it is the intangables you pay for, self-esteem, status, and sincere company.

There are decent Thai girls here who don't try hitting Farangs for money. Trouble is that they don't usually mix with Farangs, and certainly not with casual visitors.
This is a without doubt a low-class Thai girl who has latched onto a casual visitor and started asking for money. No sex? She thinks you're a mug, dump her.

My TGF frequently gets calls from friends and acquaintances who are eager to seek her advice regarding how much money is okay to extract from their boyfriends or potential boyfriends. Not sure why they call her, perhaps it's because she so successfully drained (and continues to drain) my bank account for 5 years.
What surprises me is the level of practicality in those conversations. She has a pretty good handle on the cost of living in BKK, as well as the limits of generosity that farangs can be expected to show, without feeling too used, lol. She also expects the girls to not be lazy and bring something to the table, other than just sex, as she's well aware of what that costs in BKK. Her view is that for any of her acquaintances to stop working in the P4P biz, they must get a minimum stipend per month, and they also have to do some sort or real work to keep themselves busy. Otherwise, why bother, as there is better money and more fun in the P4P world.
Her reaction to donrnels' girl would be to dump her instantly, as he should have no reason to give her even a satang. She would also think this girl is pretty stupid for going for the jugular right away. Her expectation is that a Thai lady must at least make some sort of show of affection or commitment if she expects any sort of financial arrangement. As she always says, "Thai lady haff to do good acting!"
Sounds like donrnels' lady needs a refresher course in drama.

when I first met my wife (thai), I took her to suk and stopped on the sidewalk and pointed to al lthe girls and said "I can be with one million lady if I want. you play game with me, you are out".
to this day, shes understands very clearly the line I have drawn. 5 years later and I would say that I have never been happier with any woman in my life. she is great and since the rules were laid down day one, there hasn't been any problems.
except I still want to f*** her sister.
