Series of poor decisions to be honest mate.
We were friends, both wanted to get onto the property ladder and were both single. Things went downhill from there.

it's ok. We all are in the same boat. If there was a thread that said "what is the one thing you have learned from Thailand"? I would be the first to post.....
My answer would be "I now know I can f*** 20 year old women the rest of my life"
I still go back to whatI have said before. When a man is in his 20's he marry's (or lives with) a women for different reasons than when the man is in his 40's or 50's.
For me it is simple.
I like to f***.
I don't want to talk a lot.
I don't want to discuss politics or the economy.
I just want a girl who will satisfy my primal needs and pretty much leave me alone.
And I find this type of girl in Thailand.
As the old saying goes "when they turn 40, turn them in for 2 twenties"

Still got no idea why I married the ex - I do vaguely remember thinking she was wonderful and I certainly remember 15 years later wondering if I could make sticking a pick thru her head look like a gardening accident....not real sure how I got from feeling A to feeling B though...
Situations like yours only seem incredible to everybody else till the day they wake up and find themselves living it.

I was in love with my Thai wife when we married 8 years ago...... now I sometimes want to smash her head into pulp.....
I am adicted to Thailand and she hates it.... but I can't help it.
You have to be clever, lull her into false sense of security, and plan your time in Thailand carefully. But I wouldn't suggest you leave her just because of the power you feel when in Thailand... as most on here will tell you that this is false bollocks. Lust soon turns out to be a pain in the arse... in my case 9am the next morning !
