Hi Everyone,
After a gap of almost 10 years, have got a chance to make it to BKK for 4 days in mid-September.
Veterans of the board please help and give suggestions on the following:
1. Stay:
Have the following available:
Swiss Grotinno for 1700
Park President 3000
No replies from Majestic Grande, Royal President
and some others.
Any suggestions on which one to choose or if any
other alternative is available at a budget of about
2 to 2.5K ? Only consideration is location and room
quality.
2. Must Do's:
Eden Take out (single or double ?)
Massage (where ?)
2 X LT's
2 X ST's
Beer Garden
Nana Plaza
Soi Cowboy
Patpong
Painter Bars (Which one ?)
BJ Bar
3. Day Time activity restircted to some shopping and
general walkabout/BTS etc..
(I am not much of the sightseeing type and am sure
that the Sleeping Buddha wouldn't have changed
position in the last 10 years !) :
Pantip Plaza
Chatuchak
Pratunam
MBK/Emporium
4. Planning for a budget of about 50K. Is that enough ?
Have read the board completely (well nearly the whole stuff) and just wanted suggestions from senior members on the above.

4 days 50,000BHT should be ok with your plans if you are carefull.
Re - hotel I would try Royal President apartments again,, if no go,, then take Swiss Grotino.
Massage,, Cupidity, Teens massage,, you like oilies or soapies?
2 LT's 2 ST's price will depend where you get them from,, if you see something you like in Soi 7 Beergarden ( bier garten),, they are cheaper ( no bar fine ) etc.
Painters bars are very close together so plan a few hours and spend time in each,,, don't forget the field report.
BJ bar,, star of light,, from recent reports and my own experience Lolitas is rapidly going down hill ( LOL )
See Chtuchak markets it is HUGE,, you could spend a whole day there!!! Get off Sky train at OM CHIT stop,, they are Sunday only markets as far as I know.
I have assumed your budget only included fun, not buying computers etc

I think Mel has it pretty well laid out. I'd definetly recommend the Swiss Grottino. I stay there everytime now when I'm in BKK. Very strategically located too.
Nice service great price, excellent facilities. The guys that run the place are the best too.
Chocolates on the pillows when you come home and a shower cap and robe for her in the bureau as well as you.
50K ought to do you well.
BTW check out "The Bus-Stop" just outside and up a little bit from Nana plaza. Very good food, cheap and lots of talent.

If 50K is just for spending money minus hotel, you should be fine. $250 a night for partying and girls should be plenty (Number of girls a night dependent)
On Soi33 just do some bar hopping and find out which one you like. It is not that big of an area, or hard to walk around.
I would leave Patpong off your list. That place is a pain in the ass at night just to walk around. You have to find your way through the Maze of tons of family holiday goers trying to buy junk from the vast amount of people selling shit on the street.

Finally confirmed the Swiss Grottino (http://www.grottino.com/) for 1700/-.
Yes the 50K was without the Hotel expenses and without the shopping. No big ticket items on the agenda.
Patpong was added to the list just for a walk through (can say later that been there !) but not to partake anything.
