What exactly are the rules that govern a girl who has been bar fined, but left behind in the bar for an uncertain pickup later in the evening?
I had an encounter this last trip with a girl at a Nana go go who had been bar fined, but seemed convinced that her punter would not be returning. We were just having drinks and making out a little, and there was no discussion of bar fining her too, or taking her with me, etc. But it got me wondering what the rules are that govern this situation.
Does she have to stay there until closing just on the odd chance that he returns? Does she "belong" to him until the next day even, should he call in the middle of the night as I am shagging her?
If I want to take her, do I have that option? (By paying his bar fine which will be returned to him if he returns?) Or is there some kind of early expiration on the effect of his bar fine (midnight, say), after which she is free to leave with me (for free) ? After all, it seems unfair to the girl who might want/need to make some money beyond the BF itself.
Of course, if he had been a gentleman, he would have gotten her number, which would free her up to go have dinner with me, or whatever, while she waits for his return (call). 
Any thoughts guys?

The big question here was she availble L/T or S/T, Now if she was going to go with you S/T sounds like she had a agreement with the customer to meet up somewhere early in the morning, This is in the past I have done, Liked a girl in AngelWitch but told her I am going to Patpong with a group a lads which was a lie, I wanted to see whats on offer and go back another day, So this Lady from Angelwitch who I barfined, Told her to meet me at Robinsons by the Westin Hotel, She was more than happy to and why not, She has a customer for the night and while she is waiting she can do a few S/T. So Really no she doesn't have to stay at the bar but more than 99% she will stay there as looking for her next customer.
Now if she got barfined and I went with you L/T there would be a unhappy punter somewhere in Bangkok.

if a girl is barfined already and left in the bar, she will wait for OB. however if another customer wants to barfine her it is quite common then she will go with him and the bar will refund BF if OB comes back.

When in doubt buy the Mamasan a drink give her a hug explain all and she will ensure everything will work out fine.
My rule is always buy Mama a drink and get friendly.

IMO she's the other guys until closing. I will often BF a girl early and go out with the boys and collect her later. Especially if her English sucks. I speak Thai like a 5 yr old, so things can get boring. She can make some more LD $$ too. I've yet to lose the girl. I really do this a lot in PP or SGN where the BFs are $5. Sometimes 3/nite. Call it a hedge. If you see somebody hot early, but want to keep partying with the boys, then see somebody hotter, and want to keep partying etc. In SGN one time I got back after closing and my girl was out the door with a Japanese businessman. Mamasan ripped her from him and gave her back to me. wj

An older irish gentleman came into Gullys one time with a girl he had just bar fined from big dogs.
They sat next to me, I was alone and he was really drunk.
To cut a long story short she was more interested in me me and he lost his bottle and left.

Whatever the rules are, they are meant to be broken, or they are very flexible. If you are paying the barfine, make sure you take her out, otherwise, it's left to her interpretation of what she should do, which could mean anything. And in some bars, where they have the barfine quota system, the girl could be barfined serveral times a night for STs. If you're not going to take her right away, don't waste your money barfining her.

Hmmm, just what I suspected, we won't be able to quite agree on exactly what the rules are under the circumstances I described, and even if we could, we would still agree that they can most likely be bent or broken or set aside, all depending on the girl, the bar, the mamasan, and how badly you want her.
