and son operations. Sam is the son and does most of the
business. The father usually stays in the background.

A quick update on this thread. I went to Taj Mahal (soi 4) and am extremely impressed with the quality of the work and their service. I ordered two suits and five shirts. When I had my first fitting, they had one shirt already done. It was so good I ordered another five on the spot.

hello, id like to say ive never bought a suit from anyone but I think their attitude stinks, they drag me in off the streets and say 'look only' then they have a dig at me for commin in their shop and not buying anything. Or just hassle me non stop. Most of these guys are from the middle east. Most are nothing but con artists they should be in jail

you'll find more of these fellows being Indian, Paki, Bangladeshi,
While quite similar in appearance,
I think they would be offended by being called Mid-Easterners...not that you'd care much, so don't say you don't care (we guessed as much).
and why did you go in, if you had no intention of even just getting pricing info..??
next time, put your screen name to good use, and just Dodge them. !!

Hey Dark Knight,
I went to the Embassy Fashion site and had a look - that is one impressive site.
Well so much for the site - have you bought suits from them yourself - if so how do rate the quality compared to other BKK establishments?
Furthermore are they the kind of suits that don't look like they are made in Thailand?
I'm guessing the prices are higher - I dont mind paying a little extra as long as the quality is good.

I went in because the tuk tuk driver got free petrol so we got a free ride, and I was LOOKING, I am intending to buy just not now.

Lol, I met a guy who got ripped off the day before by a hotel limmo driver into all this tailor and gem shop crap. Anyway, next day he got even, he got the local limmo guy to take him around again to 15 tailor shops, every tailor shop he went into, the driver got 100baht, so they split it down the middle, laughed my arse off at that ingenuity.
