Just fact not oneupsmanship. 15 years marriage to the same Thai lady, all spent living here in Bangkok, and I would move out of the Kingdom before I would ever use a tag line as stereotyped as yours.

This is truly sad because I cannot see how you can be happy here in the LOS when you are constantly being set upon by footpads and cutpurses out to steal your hard won gelt.
We must move in very different circles.
I do not lock my front gate at night, my walls are not topped with broken bottles. I can and often do leave sums of cash lying about in plain sight. I live on 200 sq wah of land, half a rai. I have never been robbed, never been burglarized. "Ripoffs" in years gone by, many and varied but petty and insignificant. Taxi drivers going for the extra 20-30 baht. Sellers of phony Boy Scout stuff, touts for jewelry scams and silk scams and massage scams.
Don't buy. Don't go where they want. Smile BACK at them. Chances are they will shrug and laugh!
Truly, and I mean this sincerely, I have seen guys burn out on Thailand. If you are truly unhappy why not leave? Not the forum, but LOS.
