As a few people have resigned here lately, and sometimes the tone can become nasty and derisive, why not have a special forum where people can vent, hurl invective (within reason: no libel permitted), bitch, moan, take the piss, etc? ŬI'd nominate to call this The Snake Pit, in honour of CJ/Sauron, although The Dungeon might also have a nice ring to it.
The accompanying rule would be to ban direct flaming in the other forums. ŬThis might be a bit of extra house keeping, but then people who want to avoid the Flames would know where the safe places were.
Just a suggestion.

Another suggestion
Why not send them elsewhere? I am sure there are other forums that excel in this. We should keep our focus on having fun and sharing information rather than flaming and hurling personal insults.

members who dislike others will always jump down their throats.
i hate all this in-fighting.
as BK says,his should be about sharing and i have learnt a lot.
but i am put off by the agenda's of more senior members then me.

For long time we were trying to get rid of those idiots. However, they were/are lurking in the FORUM encouraging and feeding the flames. Sad.
We have to ignore the morons. I've been doing this with at least two members!!??

I agree that the blatant abuse is unacceptable....but I also think different points of view are unavoidable and worthwhile. One thing I've noticed is when people discuss it like this they say....2 people are behaving badly....they never say who...I certainly cannot even guess who people are talking about...I certainly do not bother reading most political posts as they send me to sleep.....so how about if you want people gone...say their names and ask them to leave.....
Guess that'll add me to the list....and hey if people want me to leave then say it....I'll go...it wouldn't change my life.....(but then again have I ever been abusive...not in my thoughts....hmmm...maybe once)
