What sorta price d'you reckon is reasonable? I used to get my barnet trimmed by a Korean sort who worked in a shop just past Times Square headin' towards Nana in a clutch of Korean shops, charged Baht 300.

Next time in Pattaya on Soi Post Office, left hand side of soi heading to Beach Rd. Actually a beauty shop where a lot of the bar girls get there hair colored and cut.
90b with tip. The girls all got a chuckle as I got my hair cut, but what the hell.

I paid B100 at the Grace Hotel barber the other day. I consider that reasonable for a simple haircut in Bangkok.

While on barbers. Can you get a decent (face) shave at Bangkok barbers? I'm talking about a good old fashioned shave involving hot towels, lather, cut-throat razors, soothing lotion and after-shave. Anyone know if this is available along Suk Rd from say Emporium up to Nana?

yes. I had a shave almost every day during my last visit to Thailand. I'm on vacation and certainly don't have time to shave. I tried a different location almost every time so just ask. It ranged from a straight razor to a normal disposable razor you'd buy at the market. Prices were all over the map. Best was down Soi 4 on the left. I think they also did laundry. Got my ears cleaned out while I was there. Pretty interesting what she dug out but thats a different story all together.

Freshy Barber, Queens Park Plaza, soi 22. Nice girls, good haircut. You can get a shave, but I'm always wary about getting a nick in Thailand. My mate had a facial and some colour & streaks - he was happy.
I'm always too pissed to know what was paid - many bars nearby.
