A follow-up on CIPRO -----
Talked to my doctor and he said I should have taken CIPRO "IF I experienced any VD-like symptoms" and looked at me like I was some kind of a F*****G idiot for taking that much CIPRO. - 
I asked him why in the hell the "IF I experience......." instruction was not included on the prescription label along wth the "Kill Yourself Instruction", but he was too busy shaking his head and giving me this incredulous look!
Asshole............... - 
Anyway - thanks again for all the input. I shudder to think what I would have been doing in BKK from 12/10/03 to 1/8/04 besides popping CIPRO!
There has to be a better drug to OD on???
I wonder if I have so much residual left in my system, I could sneak in a bareback session???
Just kidding!!!

Mr. Mokewan......I impressed. The guys advised you that you were crazy and you acted, found out it wasn't you who is crazy but your doctor who did not clearly specifiy to you the details of the drug dosing, should you need it. Maybe you were not listening but it is his responsibility to ensure you have fully understood.
Doctors sometimes think we understand their instructions because we are supposed to listen to them like gods.
It shows that this forum has some good solid advice to offer, but most impressive is that you went to your doctor to confirm what you had been advised.
And more impressive than that, you followed up with a good post that will let others know the info and not make the same mistake as you. Terrific.
There are several guys on this forum, although I do not know their qualifications, who have a great amount of knowledge in various fields.
My forum choice of 'expert' on drugs and the like is Mr. haam sup, (hurts to say that ), who got his med 'training' somewhere, maybe in real life. Whatever , he provides solid first inquiry info , if he doesn't bite your ass first when you ask him, telling you how stupid you've been! But as long as he is not actually standing next to your bedside who cares about his manner. It is the facts that count.
Anyway, good on ya for posting the follow-up!!

Gotta agree with the Anti-Cipro camp here.
Shades of the Anthrax Scare! Ý What in the hell was your doctor thinking!!! ÝThis gentleman is a true idiot!
The prescribed medication for ghonorrherra is a 'cillin' type drug starting with penicillin and going up from there.
NSU require Tetracyclin or some other 'cyclin' drug.
Cipro is the A-Bomb of antibiotics. ÝIt basically kills everything (including good bacteria) and leaves you system exposed to the possibility of getting some opportuinstic disease. Ý Ý
It should only be perscribed as a last resort.
IMPORTANT: ÝNext time use the internet for something other than posting on P4P and check out WebMD or some other medical related site. ÝA search in Google on 'VD Treatment' will bring you hundreds of hits to sites used by doctors to treat these diseases.

Im quite amazed by the number of guys dishing out advice on what to take, how much and for how long. You must be a brave guy to follow such prescriptions.

Buy this book...
It's called PRIVATE PARTS -- a user's guide to the male anatomy.
Authored by a guy called Yosh Taguchi M.D. Guess that would make him.....a doctor!
The book is all about the afflictions that could strike your family jewels and a lot more. Symptoms, medication, exact dosage are all discussed. And you KNOW you're getting some pretty sound advice.
Its very easy to read, no big words (like mitral valvular dysfunctionia) and very user-friendly
Never again will you gaze at that pustular growth on your Haam and be lost for words to describe it.

I was there in December '00 and I used condoms but there was some bumping and grinding going on without one and I did get it, the damn thing was that I went to the phamacist and they gave me a seried of pills (that didnt work), then I broke down and went to the doctor and paid to get a shot in Pattaya (that didn't work either), I was home 2 days later and I still had the symptoms so I called my doc and she told me that there was some strain of the virus that was resistant to the normal cures and the only reported outbreaks of this strain was in Thailand and Cleveland, Ohio (where I live) that was some funny shit!! Well she gave me a shot and it knocked it right out, I wish I knew what she gave me so I could suggest it to others
