yes, i should have said, the risks equate to about 300 - 1 without a condom.

A study was carried out some years ago on 10 men whose wives had unknowingly contracted AIDS via blood transfusions etc. After 1 year, 9 out of the 10 men did not catch the virus, 1 did, and all the couples led healthy sex lives.

Ý i ordered $200 worth of condoms from that condom store a vrother recommended on this site, but they never delivered, probably because my credit card was in USA and delivery is to thailand.... Ý so i probably have HIV, Ýanyone want to share some of it?

Kman, if you did order from RubberTree guarans they'll be slower than the order I just got from them. It took 20 days from postmarking till hitting my mailbox, with a first class cancelation even. Go figure. Ý

Something ain't right if your breakin' 50% time to diversify and try some other brands. I'm really liking the Inspiral and the Pleasure Plus brands.

Bigone :
Sorry. But .. what exactly are you trying to say here?? Someone that does not use a condom then they will certainly die of Aids?? Am I reading you correctly??

Yes. I agree that HIV is real.

BUT .............

such a generalized statement about condom usage and death in my opinion is a little far fetched and over-exaggerated .....  don't you say??

Greetings:

A couple of points I wanted to make in regards to this topic.

** These are not directed at any member directly. Just some observations and point I'd like to make in a generalized fashion. No dissrespect intended to any member or members. **

#1: The topic of this thread is "what % of the time you use protection??" It was not, everyone who responds uses a condom.
With that being said, how come the members who responded that they did not always use a condom were then lectured about getting Aids and dying, ect?? The question was what % and not 100%. So .. the members that responded less then 100% were being honest and should be given some slack here and not graded upon. ÝI am directly this to the comments made at Nokna. He has stood by the fact that he has not always use on, but that between him and the female .. "they" chose not to use one. He has also stated that he is aware of HIV, ect. ÝSo ... I would hope that people would just stop giving him and the others that said so a hard time about it. Don't ask the question if you don't want to hear an honest answer. This will only make more members afraid to tell the truth. And I am not saying don't voice and opinion. There just has to be a way where members can be honest and not take heat over it .... in my opinion.

#2: It also seems like a preconceived notion that a condom shoud be used so that the male does not get HIV or a virus from the female. I think that that is completely the wrong way of thinking. Infact, since the females get a health check/HIV/Virus check pretty often, it's maybe fair to generalize that it might be "us" giving them something then the other way around. How many members have gotten and HIV test?? I am willing to bet that more females in BKK have gotten them then members in this forum. So .. that means that the members can not be sure they are not carrying some sort of STD.

#3: Also seems like the topic is center around only using it in BKK. I would say that condom usuage should also be used at home. Unless you and your partner have been tested, there's no way of knowing. So .. if you don't use one at home, aren't you in the same boat as Nokna?? Meaning not knowing if you can get or transmit the HIV virus.

Now .. this post is not to say that the people back home have STD's or to say that someone's wife or gf has something. All is means is that protection is protection and being safe should also be thought of outside of BKK. As well as to say that BG's are not these STD spreading females.

I personally believe that you should use a condom 100% of the time in BKK. It's just safer for both the females and the males.

Just my 2 1/2 cents worth.

^ good points, brother.

BUT it should also be mentioned that frequency should be considered if you're 'risking it.'

If you're just the occasional visitor or sex tourist (unless you're doing high volume while you're here), yeah the risk is a bit lower (although I wouldn't say minimal) for getting something terminal.   Although from what I hear, quite normal to get a host of other goodies (if mild STDs can be referred to as such).

If you're an expat or local, and going through 100-150 girls a year, those 300 to 1 odds are going to catch up with you really fast and yes, I'd say that over time here, unsafe sex is certain death.  Certain in this case meaning 100% chance of death (2% or whatever gets HIV and is 'immune' as a carrier excepted).   You know, the kind of death (ever been to an HIV ward) where your skin peels off and fungus grows on your skin all over your body because your immune system decided to retire.   Lungs fill with fluid through pneumonia, kidney failure, etc etc. etc.

everytime the question of condoms is raised,i seem to get a mention.

i cannot remember the last time i had sex in the UK WITHOUT a condom.
in the last year i was intimate with 5 filipino's before i met the one i have been with for around a month.
they liked to use one and i complied, and i admit i was a bit surprised, seeing they are mostly catholic.

yes i have condomless sex in Thailand with WILLING partners.
i do not know how often they do this with other people and i do not want to know.
but all i can say is,is that i have never caught ANY FORM of STD after doing what i do in Thailand.

i might be lucky,i don't know.
all i know is,is that i have occasion to do something i enjoy, with people i like being with and thankfully i have come out of it unscathed.
BUT,not to say everyone will be as lucky as me.

but it's all down to choice.
