Whatever it is, you should get a new doc. Typically, they start treating the sx will an educated guess rather than wait for the test results which takes a week at the hospital I go to. FOr tx, they will prescribe zithromax or give you a shot and prescribe 2 other forms of antibiotics. Oee is like zithro, the other one, you must take 4 pills a day for 10 days.
The doc did not recommend me take zithro for self tx because of the chance of durg resistance. He advised that if sx occur see a local doc for their opinion first in case there is a more effective way to tx this ailment.
