Upon arriving back from my last trip to LOS, I was promptly diagnosed with Chlamydia at the local clinic, but was negative for all other STDs. They prescribed Zithromax, which was supposed to have a 99.9% effectiveness at knocking out Chlamydia on the first try, but it did not work. They later re-tested me, gave a second round of Zithromax, but still had same symptoms. They next tried 2 rounds of Doxycycline, seven days each one, and that did not work either. The last antibiotic we tried was Erithromycin, per their prescription, but that did not work either!
What's the deal here? From what I have researched, Chlamydia is supposed to be very easy to wipe out, but I still am testing positive for NGU, with Chlamydia not certain. I am confident it was NOT a case of reinfection because I had no sexual contact since being diagnosed. My guess is that I picked up some exotic strain that is found only in Asia, but the doctor and clinic are not aware of any resistant NGUs..only resistant Gonorrhea. Anyone run into this? If so, what did you do for treatment?

I always wear a condom when I have penetrative sex and on my last trip to LOS on my last night I went down on a girl and came back home with very sore balls and a lot of pain when I took a piss! The first hospital that I tried couldn't find anything wrong so I tried a second place and they did some tests and said that it was a particularly difficult to find strain of Chlamydia.
They prescribed a full course of CIPROBAY 500. That meant 2 x 500mg every day for 10 days. Even up to the 8th day I was still very uncomfortable but (majically) on the 9th and 10 th days all the discomfort had gone as had the Chlamydia but the Doc said that I should continue with a further 10 days of CIPROBAY 500 but only one tab per day. Now all is well in my nether region!

Have the same experience.
I picked up something at Club Eden a few month ago.. Must be from oral because BBBJ all other with condom.
Hospital check came up with non-specific urethritis. Got doxycycline, zitromax and others but still have discharge and some pain (more then 2 month now). Probably some kind of a resistant type in the silvary gland of the bg's.

I have read that Chlamydia cought from oral sex (giving oral to a girl) only infects the throat and actually doesn't bother you at all. You will be a carrier non the less though.
