Hi.

If you need to visit a doctor at the Bumrungrad hospital in BKK, does one need to make an appointment?

Also, if you do visit the hospital, do you need to present any paperwork (passport, for example) ?

I have a "sensitive" tummy and just wondering what the procedures would be if I need to visit a doctor at the hospital without an appointment.

Thanks in advance for any assistance

I made an online appointment and they required a passport. I had no problems using my VISA.

A great hospital with an excellent staff. My experience was very positive!

cheers................

No need to make an appointment - just turn up. You have to register first (I think it is on the second floor) and they will ask to see your passport. Excellent service. Good value for money (compared to UK anyway).

I had a dental emergency and went there without an appointment--they have a large dental clinic as well. Excellent service at a fraction of the US cost.

Medical supplies 580 bht.

I never remember them asking for a passport,

you can pay by credit card, baht or tthey will change US$

You do not need a reservation but if you want a certain doctor check and see their office hours, some only work there weekends.

I was there too many times in the last 3 weeks, servise was always great !

When you wish to register as a new member - take your passport.

Ask to buy a discount card. It will be worth it.

All the major hospitals offer a comprehensive health check - the ones I have seen lately look like 4500 baht. As members point out - the scope of the tests vary by hospital & price. Bravo to Brocher for adding PSA test. Good to do this once a year - extremely cheap here. I belong to Samitived & Thai Nakarin in addition to Bamungrad.

I would use Thai Nakarin because very relaxed & personal service.
