I would like to add my experiences of massage at the airport. This is about as up to date as it can get having just arrived back in London 12 hours ago and this report relates to yesterday just before boarding the plane.
Having read the previous FR on this subject and having 2 hours to kill between flights I decided to go on an exploratory expedition.
As has already been mentioned the 'Beauty, Sauna and massage salon' is on an upper level at the far end of the terminal. Not hidden away at all, it has quite a large frontage with some not very attractive middle aged types sitting up front.
I decided not to mess around here, either they offered the services or they did not, let's find out PDQ.
On asking for the price of a massage I was told 1,200 Bath for TTM! (This was printed on a menu card which was shoved in front of me) When I said oil massage, which was not listed on the menu, the receptionist smirked and said, 'same price as TTM and you talk to the girl about anything else' OK, so within seconds we had established what was on offer, now it was a matter of negotiating the price. What was also clear, however, was that this was not going to be a low cost option and secondly the 'vibes' were not good in terms of the service I might expect for the money.
This second point was reinforced when the 4 that I had been allocated (I later established with her that they operate a rota system, in other words, my non existent friend 'Roger,' (where did I get that from),! who was supposedly waiting in the terminal for my report before deciding to also have a massage, could not choose to have the same girl as me) asked for 500 baht for the oil! Yes, you read this correctly, she wanted me to give her 500 baht for the actual oil.
This at least gave me the oportunity to make it absolutely clear that 1. she could forget the whole thing if she carried on in that vein, 2. I wanted a 'complete massage,' this said with masturbatory motions to reinforce the point.
After a great deal of haggling which included me getting almost completely dressed again as I prepared to leave (this was not entirely for show, I was getting seriously pis**d off with the attitude) we agreed on 300 Baht. (not for the oil, but for the extras)
So, now we are looking at 1,500 Baht and a serious attitude problem before we even get started. This was not going well and would almost certainly get worse as I imagined being given a poor 'placing of hands on body' type massage and a quick wa*k to get me out the door asap.
The first 15 minutes of the massage almost lived up to this expectation as she gave me an average massage.

Was it worth it. Well from purely a cost point of view, no, but it was a great way of ending a great trip, but I would suggest others only use as a last resort (which in a way is just what it is, the last opportunity before the airplane door shuts!)

Promised not to tell all, but just a few pointers won't hurt. I went to a very nice massage place in Terminal 2, Oil Massage was 600 Baht for 1hr, private room with shower, very small room, just enough room for the massage table, walls that don't quite meet the ceiling. Had a very nice girl, very pretty, 22yrs old, good massage. Straight establishment fom what I saw when I entered. Can't say anymore. Nice and relaxed for my journey though.

There are Chang Massage shops in Siam Soi 6 and also on Silom near Patpong (where Khun Bee is very much in demand for oil sessions). These are very good well run establishments and thus should greatly enhance the airport experience.
