Interesting... There was no discussion of price in the room, and the bbbj/cim in the shower completed without any talk of extras. Now, I'm not so naive as to believe that was included in any base price...
Actually, I did start to get a bit nervous as the massage commenced, thinking hmmm, do I need to discuss price/services... but then came to my senses, this is thailand, relax and enjoy, and everything will sort itself out.

As for having to negotiate, the nice thing about Tulips/Mango is that until you hear otherwise, the standard price is 600-800 for the "massage" (i.e., paid to the house), and 1,500 baht for the "full service" (paid to her in the room), with an extra 100-300 tip "up to you" (for anal, extra long, something special, etc.). No need to negotiate. Just relax, have fun, and give her what she deserves before you come downstairs.
Soapies tend to be "all inclusive," paid up front, but the girl will often expect/demand a tip (anything less than 500 and they will make a face) as you are trying to leave the room, which I find quite annoying, as (1) I don't like girls who ask/demand a tip as a matter of general principle, and (2) I seldom feel that they provided extraordinary service deserving of a tip.
Whereas at an oily or Eden, the girls will go the extra length to indulge my perversions, without complaint, and for that, quite simply, they deserve a tip. AND they almost never ask for or demand it, which makes them all the more deserving in my book.

Fine by me. It was partly my fault as when they showed me the price list, I didn't bother to put on my reading glasses...

Just joking. I appreciate the thought, and it's great he provides that tour for some. But me, I've always been the type that does some research, then goes out and explores myself.

this last trip in March went in with the mid set of taking Dao,but alas she'd been taken out for the day. so went throught the book,looked downstairs and took "tom". 13 February: Hight light of the trip today. Went to Menam Riverside (Ramada) for brunch. The Chinese restaurant is the best in town.
