I checked out Tulip this afternoon as a part of my traditional rounds when I am in Bangkok. What a disappointment. At between 3.30-4.00pm the line-up varied from women who might generously be described as homely to those whose looks were migraine inducing. I'm sure there still are some attractive girls working at Tulip, but they were not in evidence today. Two to three years ago you could walk in and have a chance of finding girls like Nadea, C, Guitar and various others who looked good and performed well. Even what you might think of as the second string girls were better than the present line-up. Is it simply that you now have to book a girl in advance to have a chance of getting somebody decent looking? To be honest the women (none of them could be described as girls) in the line up today were comparable with the standard you might find at your local grab a granny disco in a British provincial town. Not what we have come to expect from Tulip. The one improvement is that the viewing area is now on the ground floor so I was saved the effort of walking downstairs before turning on my heel and walking out.
