This venerable location has hosted a "Barber & Massage" service longer than almost any other in town... pushing 20 years. 33 Center succombed to market forces last May, but has now been reincarnated under new ownership as The Best (an unusually clever and original choice of names, no?)
Open just a few days, the place still reeks of new paint (downstairs only, and strictly cosmetic). Operating hours and pricing are Suk 33 standard... OM is 400/1hr and 700/2hrs. No substantial changes have been made... the rooms & beds are smallish, showers adequate, and the large sauna is functional (requires advance booking). The modus operandi and pricing with the ladies is also the same.
Staffing is not yet up to adequate levels... there were a half dozen providers on site when I visited, none much north of average. I did however witness a steady stream of interviewees arriving and departing, and the selection process was being managed by Miss Tik (an accomplished professional with a fine tail who patrons of 55 Center will recognize)... which is a hopeful sign.
The only thing that really distinguishes this venue from others in the area is the bar and stools (which mercifully have survived the change of ownership). A leisurely beer while viewing the options can still be had... now all they need is more and better providers. Given the competition (particularly fierce on Suk 33) it will not be a great shock if this new incarnation follows its predecessor into history...
