I think resurrecting this 7 year old thread, well 5 years if you consider the last post, is cool huh, can’t be accused of thread *ucking. I mean I want to write a FR and no sense wasting BK’s money, bandwidth or whatever you call it. If Baquawn objects, my apologies, so here goes to resurrecting a 7 year old thread…
I arrived in Manila after a 10 hour flight and caught a cab to Best Western Plus Antel in Makati. Cab fare was less than 200p but lots of traffic, maybe 20 minutes. I paid $74 for a queen bed standard room, my friend paid $81 for a king sized bed suite room. I would pay the extra $7 if I were to do it again, the bathroom is bigger and you have an area to cruise and watch tv. Staff provided excellent service and I only had to complain to housekeeping once. Girl friendly and front desk called to confirm my guest leaving the room in the morning, this only happened once since the next 2 days she was a regular. Location wise, nicely situated less than a ¼ mile from the top of Burgos Street. Right next door is a supermarket with lots of eateries and a soon to be Hooters.
Same night we met up with friends at Inter Continental hotel and from there we went to Edsa complex. If you’ve never been there, think Nana plaza except smaller stages, smaller bars and less number of bars. But don’t think there is a lack of talent, tons of hard bodies and lots of pretty girls. If anything different from BKK I would say the girls are smaller in the chest area. Paid 1700p for barfine at Firehouse and well in hindsight I over paid the next morning to the girl for 4000p. I don’t know why I paid the 4000p and not ask my friends like I did about the barfines, musta been a brainfart. Sorry bros for paying too much and spoiling the girls.
First impressions of Philippines, same, same but different from BKK. Oh the taxi drivers are a trip, they drive like how I want to drive. These drivers have awesome moves, driving down the opposite side of the road to get to the pole position at the traffic light. Two lane roads actually can hold three cars, bet most of you never knew that. And having to make a left turn at an intersection from the right hand turning lane, no problem just toot your horn and squeeze your way through, lol.

It's been a long time since I've been to Manila (1991), but I remember:
- Barfines were including the girl's fee.
- Once they become your regular and you (and the hotel) let your guard down, a couple of them of take advantage.
- A very criminal city (twice been robbed by bargirls, including one time by a sleeping drug) supported by many fellow traveler stories.
Compared to the PI, Thailand is a much safer and enjoyable place. The only advantage for me (at that time) was that the girls spoke great English.

My 2nd night in the PI we started out at Greenbelt. Friday night and lots of people at a friends suggestion we went to Spicy Fingers in Greenbelt2 to watch a live band. The band was really good and a must see for everyone. Later I found out Café Havana in Greenbelt3 is a total freelancer joint. Who would have thought that a respectable establishment in a major shopping center catering to our needs, hell I love the PI.
Later that evening we went to Burgos street, I had been previously warned by friends about the high barfines, 3900p. There was only one bar for us on Burgos street, Rascals, my friends know the mamasan so that’s where we ended up for the night. I think knowing the mamasan the girls are less likely to try to pull any stunts with us.
I don’t know about you guys, but I have a problem taking girls that are the same age as my daughter, and from what I see on the streets I’m the only one with this phobia, lol. So I choose one of the receptionist girls, said she was 30, that works for me. I got the barfine down to 3000p and again I paid her 4000p out the door the next morning. Steep prices on the barfines, they said 3500p was the lowest and I said I have no more money. I guess 3000p is better than nothing.
On Sunday afternoon we went to Resort world and gambled for 6 hours. I like to play poker so I was as happy as a clam. Resort world casino is comparable to a Vegas casino, the only difference is there are way more dealers/workers and most of the girl dealers have braces, that took me a while to get used to. All the girl dealers are cute as a button and hard bodies, and since I like asian girls this is the casino for me. I loved the fact that Resort world is close by where we were located, gambling and mongering, this is heaven.
The rest of the days I stayed with the same girl from Rascals, I was happy with her and I’m damn sure she was happy with me or at least my morning payments.
The bargirls tell us about unscrupulous taxi drivers, we only encountered one that I could see pulling a knife or gun on us, but it was broad daylight, the warning was he didn’t want to use the meter and got pissed off when we insisted. The bargirls talk about getting hijacked in the cabs and I hear from other friends of getting robbed in the taxis. Luckily for me no such encounters.
Overall I like the PI over BKK because of the casino, but that may change if I ever get robbed in a taxi, I definitely feel safer in BKK and I would not have gone there by myself.

Next time you go to PI check out the other part of the city, Ermita area. There are a few bars in that area, where you can find freelancers. I used to frequent L.A. Café (now called Manila Bay Café), it is opened 24 hours, so you can walk in at 5 am, get a girl for a short time (1,500-2,000 p), and come back in the afternoon and get some more, and so on. Beers are cheaper too, compared to Bangkok. In Bangkok, I don't do that many girls in a day, but when I'm in Manila, I feel like TylerDurdin.

Are the prices in PI so high? These really are a lot higher than BKK. It would take a lot of beers to balance that out!
