I go into Afterskool often, I know a lot of the girls in there quite well and I'm on quite good terms with them...heheh, in no small part, due to the fact that I drop a lot of cash in there.
But one thing I'm always adamant about, when I order lady drinks, I specify either a) a tequila shot or b) a cola. They have to choose, they can't get both. Most go for tequila.
It can be frustrating for a first-time customer, I'm sure...both in way they swarm you and, yes, try to scam you. But once they know that you understand their game (and assuming you treat them with some respect), they'll respect you too and won't try to rip you off...they reserve that for a) the assholes and b) the guys just off the boat (plane)...

Was in here last night, in a small group of guys, they were drinking Black coke's, I ordered a bottle of san miguel light (which I have really taken a shine too), when I took my first swig there was an overwhelming taste of lime, I checked inside the bottle, no lime, I asked if the girl had put a lime in my beer, or for any reason lime juice, she assured me she had not, I took another swig and there was definetly lime juice in this beer, I passed it to a friend who took a swig and he agreed, the staff took my bottle and after about 10 minutes came back with a new one, still tasting of lime, I couldn't understand the reason they would be adding lime juice and not admitting it, that was until I felt an extreme headache kick in, and started feeling a little dizzy. We all paid up and left, I never drank anymore of that beer and drank water the rest of the night as I nursed a very strange headache I had not experienced before.
My feelings are that some kind of drug was slipped into my beer and it either has a taste of lime juice, or it has a foul taste that the lime juice was used to cover up.
I could of course be totally off track and perhaps the lady opening the beer bottles also cuts the limes for the tequilla's, but I would be interested to know if anyone else has had any similar experience or if I just had an over worked imagination in this beer last night !
Girls as always were plentiful, many lookers and very freindly.
PS. I've been to this bar MANY times over the years, and never once experienced anything like this, i've always forund the bar to be good fun, provided you keep an eye on the tab.

It could be the local San Mig version was bad. Most knock out stuff has no taste. The reason is what happened to you... if the punter doesn't like the taste of lime, he won't drink it and consequently won't be knocked out.

Just for newbies reading these last posts: Knock-Outs have been reported from Pattaya. But I guess this is too serious to have it organized frenquently by a bar even in Pattaya, it's more a thing done by doubtful individuals...
Afterschool in Soi Cowboy will not do something like this and surely not in an organized way... it would be their last step before being closed...
I guess JA is right that just some batch of San Miguel was rotten somehow. That wouldn't really suprise me...

Exact same thing happened to a buddy and I in Super Babies n Pattaya around the same time in December.
Must have been a bad batch of San Miggies !!!
