I have to say, AfterSkool is the only gogo I can remember were the girls were buying ME drinks. A very fun gogo. One night I got a number (86), and the wife of this couple that came in was buying me drinks....lol. That was a fun night. Couldn't talk her in to barfining me though....lol.
Another night, a Saturday night, RIT, and myself, had all but 3 of the girls monopolized, buying them LDs. Punters were coming in, and there were no girls, I mean none, trying to hustle the new guys. There were no girls outside, nothing. We had all but 3....lol. That was a fun night too.
AfterSkool gave me some very fun memories in the past. 4 girl competitions in the corners....lolol.

Quim - you are absolutely right. And, your observation that they will all (with one or two exceptions) still try and get at least 1 drink is spot on.
I still drop by occasionally when I am in town. Often just to talk to one particular girl. I ask whoever is outside to go inside and get her, then we sit outside. Reduces the number of girls asking for LDs. But, then, you miss out on the "atmosphere" inside the joint. 555

I agree on the pressure to buy them drinks, a lot of other places are just as bad. Have been to "fish bars" around the world, so the newbie open mouth look wasn't there, even still, the first night I went into Afterschool was after a couple of other bars, after the looks from the girls, they came in for the kill. Just figured that is how they make their money.
Said yes to one girl and she ordered the "whiskey coke", silly me thought she wanted a whiskey with coke and just didn't speak english that well. lol Drinks came and out of habit I looked at the slip and saw 3 drinks... wtf? So now, check the slips all the time and make sure they just get tequila or whiskey only!
After they got used to my face, they didn't try the silly games, but still like you said, once they know you they figure you will at least buy them one drink.
Outside is nice on a cool night to sit back and people watch, but you sure as hell won't get any groping (either by you or her) out there. 5555
Read in another thread that Afterschool was just sold to John. Some think/say that the bar is and will be changing, any truth to this? Like I said before, have been away from LOS for over a year so any changes will be new to me.
Yea, yea, bars change owners all the time, they open and close all the time, but as we all know, 9 times out of 10 the new guys believe they can make a good thing better. Maybe he can.

Hello all,
Looks like its been a while since anybody posted any info here. Heard that ownership had changed a while ago.. Can anybody say if things have changed there or if the corner still available?
Always had fun there, even if I didnt utilize the corner hehe Was hoping to try it all again on my next visit. With all the unrest there, I may have to change flight shedules though. Would be a shame since its been a long time since I have been in LOS or BKK.

I'll add to this thread as it's been quiet for a while.
I've been in Afterskool many times over the years, and had a lot of fun there. Yes it's true, the girls are very pushy for LD's but the secret is to be firm (ooh err missus) and polite. I only buy drinks for one or two girls at a time, and usually move on to another bar after 4 - 5 rounds.
I used to see a girl there called Nok. She was one of the sweetest girls I have ever met. She left Afterskool and went to work at Baccara for a while. Last thing I heard was that she found someone to take care of her. I wish her luck wherever she is.
