Arrival at Phnom Penh airport, we had already taken our visa for Cambodia in Bangkok, which means avoid to wait 40 minutes to get it there.
Flamingo's hotel taxi was waiting, and we arrived at the hotel, where we have booked deluxe rooms two weeks before on internet, confirmed by an email from the manager.
Deluxe rooms were not available, and the one who were supposed to get were not nice, and no more pool table on the terrace, so direction...
Red Hibiscus Hotel, named before XXL, where the night manager asked a full deposit for one night. As soon as we paid him, he let us know that we should be disturbed in the morning by some noise in the next building. Some noise... at 9 am, hammers and machines noises make us jump out of bed. Speak with the owner, offer us free diner for sorry, we didn't accept...
Looking for another hotel and discover a new freshly open one, Hotel Cara, nice design, clean and noiseless rooms, perfect and smiling staff, free internet, good breakfast included in rooms rate, from 30 to 40 $, for double occupancy.
No 18 Street 47 and 84

We will definitely come back there in December.
We also hire an excellent taxi driver for two days, 30$ each day, Mr Yeth : 00 855.12 42 63 32, or chin_yeth@hotmail.com, very nice and smart man, speaks English, and knows perfectly the city and gave us a lot of good advices.
One we should have followed is not to go to Paris Massage. Choose ladies in the fishbowl, pay the fee to the pimp, as Cambodians pay after the session, arrived in the room, girls start asking for tip, and saying they don't suck... know already the story, bye bye.

Still don't see the attraction with Phnom Penh myself. Unattractive women, ugly women and very ugly women. I suppose the booze is pretty cheap but then you need a hell of a lot of it to make up for the women. To each their own I guess.
BTW The pool table was still on the terrace of the Flamingo 2 weeks ago.....they just hide it under the laundry.

We took Thai Airways, for the last time, too expensive, 15.000 bahts round trip ticket, bad food. Next time we will try or Air Asia, or Bangkok Airways.
30.00 a day for a driver?? Pretty expensive unless he also doubled as a nightlife tour guide.
In fact, Yeth ask us for 25$ a day, day and night guide service included, but we were so happy, we added 10 $ tip.

Living in Thailand for the last 7 years, we are happy to go Phnom Pehn just to change our mind, and maybe be appreciate a little bit more our life in Thailand, when we come back.

Will be retiring in Thailand in 18 months, so already see the trips to PP, Saigon, Laos, PI and Singapore.
Figure I'll need the change, as I can see it being hard to sit at the same old bars day after day (ok, maybe bored after the first 6 months).
On ladies in PP, on my one trip there 8-10's were hard to find. Then there's the age thing, the 8-10's I saw looked way to young so didn't even try. The ones that looked old enough already had a beer gut or looked out of shape (big tits though).

Yes we did take girls in the hotel, and there were no problems.
I like Phnom Pehn because its changing air of my mind, because there are good restaurants, good pool places, and nice and good ladies. The one we know there are much more agreable than the gogo or bargirls that we use to meet in Thailand, and for sure we have already booked our ticket, this time on bangkok airways which make good promotions until end of december.

Sophie Club No 9E1, St. 53-118 phone 012 885 234 is the same idea as Cyrcee Club but a real dump while you walk up the stairs to the place. Once inside not to bad with some cute girls 
Lot's of ugly girls but there are lots of gems if you take your time to wade through the ugly ones

Sorry, I totally forget the Sophie Club, but I totally aggree with your comments.
Concerning the airlines, I will never take again Thai Airways, I will surely fly fly with Bangkok Airways, because Air Asia cheap but so many times flight delayed... for some hours.
