Hit about 4 Nana bars on my most recent trip. I think Playskool, Rainbow were 2 - some nudity, mostly topless, but no real good lookers. Ended up spending majority of my time at Mandarin. Wow, what cute gals! Divided into 2 groups - red bikinis looked older, then the topless gals who put on the sailor tops when not on stage are the young ones. And some of those girls were just stunning. By midnight, the lookers were pretty much bar fined or were in lady drink mode. When that happens, they take their numbers off when they dance.
46 in particular was breaking my heart. Since my wife knew I was at Nana, and had asked me to swear that I would not engage in any activities, I decided, for once, to be a good boy. So not enjoying her presence was entirely my fault.
Several things I like at this place - you can smoke, there's no pressure from the girls, it's a bit smaller. Definitely remains one of my favorites for that odd night that my wife lets me get free for a while.

Mandarin has 2 floors
1st floor bottom...pretty good,enjoyed myself here,maybe out of 20 girls, 14 are do-able
took 2 girls from here
out of 10 stars.....7.5
Mandarin 2nd floor has more dancers,bikini and school uniform...i didnt take from here but one girl #22,Min was drunk and wanted to F*ck me sensless

After reading the recent comments here I figured this was a place that I just had to visit. So, Wednesday night was Mandarin night in NEP.
To get to Mandarin, come into NEP and take the escalator on the right. You will find 2 entrances to Mandarin. The one on the left leads upstairs. The one on the right is only for downstairs. As far as I could tell, you can't get from downstairs to upstairs. That makes it a bit awkward, since if you buy a drink downstairs you have to check-bin before going upstairs (at least, that is what the Server told me downstairs).
I started downstairs. Beer is 145bt, soft drinks 125, and lady drinks 170bt (both up and down). I don't like the arraignment downstairs. 5 very small stages where the girls dance. Hard to see all the girls - basically you have to peer through the legs of the girls in front of you to see the girls far away. Girls downstairs were better looking than Spanky's, but IMO, not a lot better looking.
Interesting that the mamasans put a bottle of Thai whiskey out for the girls to drink. Might make later in the evening more fun for someone.
Anakin rated the girls here. It is difficult to dispute or agree with his ratings, since I don't know the baseline or what he is comparing them to. And, in any case, one man's dross is another man's treasure.
I check-bined and went outside and up to the 2nd floor. Like night and day. One stage, with seating around. Girls dressed as described above. And, much better looking than downstairs IMO. I would say that they compared favorably to the 2nd floor Baccara school girls.
I really wanted to get a good look at #46, since oneeye pointed her out. I agree with him, although I thought #53 was a bit cuter. Probably the difference between short straight black hair and curly long blonde hair. Based on looks alone, either one could make your day (or night).
#11 latched onto me. One of the topless sailor girls. Not the prettiest, but I figured if she was that forward she could speak English and talk. She did, telling me stuff like there were some pretty young girls there, BF was 600bt, ST 2000bt and LT 4,000bt. Probably you could negotiate, but I didn't since I don't BF.
FYI, for those who do, Fri/Sat/Sun the BFs go up to 1,200bt. I would guess this will be true in many bars.
One of the mamasans was quite good looking. I told #11 this and, of course, she wanted to know if I wanted to BF her instead. At least one of the Servers, I think #124, was also pretty good looking.
All in all, lots of eye candy upstairs in Mandarin.

Sounds like they remodeled, or I vaguely remember something about them buying or merging with the bar next door.
There was, at one time, only one entrance, the farthest from the escalator.
When you entered and turned right, you were on the first level. There was a glass ceiling so you could look up the skirts of the girls dancing on the second level. If, when you entered, you went straight up the stairs you were, of course, on the second level. The basic layout of both floors was the same. There use to be some very cute girls in there and I'm glad to hear things have come around full circle.

The more I think about it the more I seem to remember that the entrance on the middle level (2nd floor for the Yanks) lead directly to a stairway that took you to the top level (3rd floor for the Yanks) and the first level of the Mandarin. Once there, there was another staircase that took you to the "Second level." While most of NEP is 3 stories, the buildings that front on Soi 4 are 4 stories.

The way *up* the stairs was the only legit way to the real Mandarin, which is the bar upstairs, with an upper floor with the glass ceiling/floor shared.
A while back, it seems as if they bought the lower bar (on the same floor as the escalator exit), which used to be called by some other name - either that, or the lower bar pretends some association with Mandarin. Either way, the lower one is a pale shadow. The up-the-staircase Mandarin is where the action usually is.

I agree.
I went back to take a look at the entrances. They are as I described them. The entrance to the right as you come up the escalator is actually called "Mandarin Table Dance". I asked a server in there if they were both Mandarin, and she said that they were.
The entrance on the left (stairs going up) is the one you want if you want to spend time in Mandarin.

Got back from Mandarin. The one on the 2nd Floor by escalator. What happen here ? The fat mama turned into a bitch, harassing me for drinks more than the dancers. Sat with #89 and another girl here friend called meow ?.... but I though I felt someone digging in my pockets after several drinks and grabbed one of the girls hands pulling baht from my send pocket. She just said sorrysorrry I not know. I kicked them both out and complained to the fat mama there. All she said was " which one ? Oh whAt can I do?" I told her duck off and paid my bill butility not the girls drinks. They tried to stop me but I warned them I call policebecause I don't knows how much I was taken for from my pocket, if anything..she wanted none of that.
Be warned of this mama and her girls...she must be getting cut.

2nd floor is the low life Mandarin...
You got to take the flight of stairs up the 3rd floor Mandarin. Never had this kind of problem or any other kind (beside the problem of choice) up there...
4th floor dancefloor of 3rd floor Mandarin seems to be out of use nowadays though...
