Have stayed at Swiss Park 3 times this year, and booked for 2 weeks from 5th January 2007.
Never any problems.
This hotel meets my budget, since I regard a hotel as somewhere to hang my clothes, since I never use any other hotel facilities.
I usually stay at Manhattan, but they are booked up for my next trip. We have mixed reviews about this place, but some rooms have been renovated, and since I am a "regular" I usually get a very decent, and large, room. It is my first choice for value and location.

Silom City Inn - 1300 baht, incl Breakfast for a nice spacious aircon room with bathtub, minibar, carpetted floor, kingsize bed = a real playgarden fits up to 3 TG's + myself. Convenient location near Silom and great staff. Above all GF ! No big restaurant or piano bar at the reception but simple and to the point.

Swiss Park has had several positive reviews over the last few months, so must be worth a review ( Dave??? )
Silom city Inn,, sounds like great value at 1,300, Asianatic please tell us how you get this price,,, best I see is 1,500 BHT.

I am a regular since about 8 years and while they have increased the fare slightly, I could manage to stick to 1300. I must say that I book always as single in a DBL DLX room which and whenever I bring a guest which I have breakkie with, I need to add 200 bth. Perhaps you have requested for a DBL ?

At the lower end of the "decent" scale would be Nanatai mansion at the end of Sukhumvit Soi 4.
I have previously posted a report about this hotel, so will not repeat the information. Basic room, clean and comfortable. My only complaint - does not have 24 hour room service.
Currently I pay 900 baht per night - this is without breakfast. Hotel is GF, although 500 baht is charged for the third (and fourth?) guest.
