Gents,
Might be staying at the Davis hotel due to business commitments. Can any of the Bros help out with the following questions:
Is it still GF?
Are ther any discrete entrance/exits?
The Corner Wing - studio rooms @ b 2,173 (precision) Vs Superior Rooms @ b 2,706 (precision) - any experiences /opinions?
I usually stay at a loaner apartment or Imperial Queens, but no loaners available and my Co. has lost it's (fantastic) discount status at I Q.
I feel a little lost, so your advice will be greatly appreciated.

Stayed at the Davis for two days last week. Had a regular room 1st day, then a superior when I checked back in four days later after a trip to Samed (free upgrade) - both rooms were great (esp the bathrooms), the superior just being a little larger (not really that much in it to be honest). I think it is still gf (I checked my tgf in with me so she could have the run of the place when I was out and about). Certainly the lobby is so big and open plan that I suspect you could come and go without any inteference from staff / security. I checked out the Corner Wing while I was there; it looked very nice indeed. Main concern was how far up Soi 24 it is; a good 10+ mins walk and the traffic seemed to be very heavy during the day & evening. If the Davis was closer to Nana / SC it would be my fave hotel in BKK by a long way, as it is, I think it is just a bit too far way from the action.

I need to be at Davis, at a client's request. Don't know yet if client uses P4P, so I need to be discrete (at least until they show their colurs).
I guess I don't mind the distance from the Suk, as long as I can have the sort of company I am accustomed to in LOS. I tend to hang around Soi22 or over to 33 quite a lot of the time anyway, which is a bit of a stroll, but I think not too bad in December.
I will update my experience on the thread when I return

I need a hotel from 21DEC to 02JAN and want to stay near Soi 23 or Soi 33. Pool is a must.
I checked asiarooms and can get an Emporium Studio Suite, Breakfast included for 148 US$ per day, 1,776 US$ total with taxes included.
With spg.com, I can get Sheraton Grand Suk for 158 US$ with taxes for 11 days and 240 US$ for the last night. Without Breakfast.
Westin was even pricier than Sheraton so won't consider.
How are the standard Studio Suites in Emporium? And how would it compare to the Sheraton standard Deluxe Room? I assume from my reads that Emporium Suites are GF.
asiarooms also shows Rembrandt Towers 1 Bedroom (70 sqm) Breakfast Not Included for 94 US$ or 1,128 US$ total which I might also consider.

Good luck, but I doubt you can get asiaroom's prices for Emporium for those days. I tried to get 5 days in July, but was turned down (luckilly, but that's another story... I met a girl...). It's worth a try, but I would book early.
