They always seem to have the best prices for hotels I chose to stay at.
They have the Sapphire Suit for 2,620bht.

ErikE,, it's 2721 for double ( I hate to sleep alone), but still a LOT better than the rip off I was offered before.
Seems as though the price complaint may be having some effect, prices have dropped back from the near 50% increase.
Contact with the seller confirmed that the price increase was directed from the whole-saler who in turn ( I assume) had his prices increased from the hotel group itself.
My complaint to the hotel manager direct is yet to recieve a reply.

On our first trip we initially chose the RP as first choice, but due to the fact (being newbies) it just seemed alittle out of the way from NANA, and chose the majestic suites. However one of my friends decided he would stick to RP.
When we saw his room (diamond Suite) we shit... what a mistake going to MS.. after seeing his room, ours felt even smaller I wanted to cry.
Apart from the size of MS rooms, they had great staff and locations is second to none, however this time round we are staying at the RP, and chose the deluxe studio. Slightly smaller than the diamond suites but I kinda like deluxe Studio better as it had a cosier feel about it, and the bathroom is quite impressive.
RP, you wont be disappointed, and if you have stayed there you willl know what I mean.
Oh and there was a fine gal at reception when we went back to my mates room one night?
Can I hotel fine her???? hehehehehehe

I may be wrong about this one (I do not know the current situation), but as this is a serviced appartment I believe a single-booking is enough, as long as you do not check in with your wife and do not care about the extra breakfest voucher.
I booked a single in July 2004, never any problems with guests.
But, then again, it's maybe safest to book double, to be on the safe side.

They don't care if you book a single and bring in a guest because they don't check. If you want to play it safe, book a single in the court wing because it is across the street and there is no walk of shame. Only a guard that opens the door for you.

In the Royal President, the only difference in booking a single or double is that if breakfast is included in the rate, you get two breakfasts with a double. There is never an issue with bringing any guests to the room regardless of what room type you have booked.

Have been keeping an eye on this ongoing potential rip-off, seems that they have under estimated farang common sense,, prices are dropping back but still some 25% more than they where 8 weeks ago.
