I have stayed at Livingstones for multiple consecutive nights and mentioned to management that I had learnt of Livingstones through BTF, there was no offer or mention of discount.
Without wishing to speak on behalf of Livingstones management, I believe their view is that the rack rates are already pretty good from a price perspective taking into account the quality and location of the property.

Sorry for replying late, busy, business trip etc. etc..
We don't offer discount rates, because it is not our intention to sell our room with a low-price or discount rate policy. We have bad experiences with hotel websites, which try to sell with discount rates.
What we can offer to all forum members is:
If you stay at least 3 nights in Livingstone's Lodge and post a report here in this forum about the experiences of your journey of places which are interesting to visit you get a voucher about the amount of THB 1,000.00. The voucher can be used in all areas of Livingstone's (Restaurants, Sports Lounge, Hotel), or simply been deducted from your final room bill.
Our targets associated with this promotion are:
- to support this forum with interesting reports
- to find out about the success of our different marketing/promotion activities

I chose Livingstone's because of its location, and my inclination to stay at smaller "boutique" style hotels. I generally find staying at this type of location offers a generally better overall experience.
Livingstone's is located in a great area, and offers a place with ecletic character. Very friendly staff, a not-to-much choices breakfast, but mainly "it is not a major chain hotel" offering much of what you get at them anyhow.
Great fast wireless too!

Hi,
Well I just checked in the Livingstone hotel. Was a little hard to find when my taxidriver passed it. But the second time we stopped in the front. The girl at the reception was really nice and helped me with a room. I am testing the internet right now and my laptop seem to pick up the signal without any problems. There is also no technical stuff like passwords etc. needed. So till now everything is fine.

Day two in Livingstones was good as well. The walls are however a little thin so I waked up by the TV of my neigbour. But ok it was already 14.45 so not a bad time to wake up. I had also a little problem with my in room locker. The batteries were down and they solved this with a smile. The girlbar in the hotel has a very good quality as well. I almost  fall in love again.

I wouldn't mind trying the hotel out but the rooms on the website look a little basic and plain.

We must make new photos  .
The rooms should have everything you need: Besides a real good bed with matresses we get very positive feedbacks about from our guests all rooms have mini bar and room safe, wired and wireless internet (included in the room rates).
The upper room categories have then Jacuzzis and balconies.
Around the corner is Novotel Lotus. There are contradicting reports about whether it is girl friendly or not.

My stay in Livingstones is still really good. Today I discovered what the meaning is of the possibility of a late breakfast. I waked up 1430 and came down 1500. Still got a specially cooked for me included in roomprice breakfast.
So my idea is that when you are willing the roomrate of 1600 baht (including a very nice decorated room, late breakfast and fast wifi internet) its a great place to stay.
Next week I will stay here again. I already booked a jacuzzi room this time

For 1,600 BHT a day it looks pretty good, how much for Jacuzzi room?
Perhaps their site should have prices ( or did I miss that info? )
