There's an excellent deal going on multiple websites for the new Radisson Suites. I booked it on Agoda for about $66 a night w/o breakfast for the superior 35sqm room.

This hotel is located about a good 5 minute walk to Sukhumvit. It's situated somewhere near the backside of Bed Supperclub. There are 2 buildings here, building 2 is complete and building 1 is almost done. The hotel hallways still smell of chemicals like it's brand new. This hotel uses the touchless keycards which are nice since you don't have to worry about sticking the card in the right way...

The superior room is quite nice. Carpeting throughout the living space and everything feels very good quality. The bed is big and soft, pillows fluffy and soft. The workstation area is well appointed. The TV is a nice Samsung flat panel that displays the time on the bottom of the TV, nice little place to have a clock. The TV is also internet connected and has games, it comes with a keyboard. This is a stylish room and it's in very good shape at 3 months old...

The bathroom is separated from the living area with a heavy glass sliding door. It has a nice sink area with 2 power ports. The shower has a rainfall shower head and a spray head as well. But the placement of the shower head near the wall and plumbing was a bit of a mistake as it interferes with situating yourself under the rainfall. Not the best shower but it's a small price to pay for a room of this quality.

The internet works well but getting slow speed tests via speedtest.net about.6 Mb/s down,.5 Mb/s up. It might be all of these internet connected TVs hogging the bandwith. But enough for VOIP calls.

The closet is a good size, lots of hangers and a safe. They put the hair dryer in here for some reason... There is a pool on the 8th floor with an artificial lawn. I've only seen pictures of the gym so I can't comment on the equipment yet.

Right now, at this price of $66 it's got to be one of the best values. I think the promotion runs till the end of the month. The biggest drawbacks of this hotel are the location and shower. Soi 13 is rather boring and you'll have to walk a bit out to Nana to find anything interesting. Soi 13 is also treacherous to walk on and has a lot of traffic. Staff service appear to be very good so far.

And yes, it IS girl friendly...

I agree that its a great place for the price. However, pls note that the 66 Usd price on Agoda is without the tax and service, another 11.91 Usd on top.

I paid direct to the Hotel 2399 with TAX (VAT) Service and all the other extras included. I picked up 3 great buys at the travel show in May. For those of us who can make it to the shows they sometimes have some great deals. Got some very cheap Buffet tickets for 5 star joints at 1/2 price.

The Hotel now has rooms with tax included on their web site from 1919.20 (under $64) with tax and breakfast. 2599 ($87) get you the one bedroom with breakfast.

Not often, but sometimes, direct deals are cheaper then Agoda. Living 3 here 11 years (not in Bangkok) and used Bangkok for R and R for 14 years from Saudi. I'm flat good at getting prices.

This looks like a good alternative to the expensive 5-star hotels on the Suk.

My questions:

1. Is it really girl friendly? What's the walk of shame like? Is there a discrete approach to the elevators? Do you have to book double to have a guest stay all night?

2. How much of a walk is it from Suk? Or are taxis/tuk tuks advisable?

3. Is it on the same soi as Bed Supper or behind it on an adjacent soi? What's the walking distance to the Bed and Q Bar?

Thanks for any information anyone can provide. Will help me decide where to book for my upcoming trip.

It is girl friendly. The lift in building 1 is to the left of the entrance when you first walk in. The staff don't really care as you walk in... You kind of pass them but not really...
It's about a 5-7 minute walk to Sukhumvit.
It's not on the same Soi as Bed and QBar. Probably a good 7-10 minute walk to get there.
