The last entry for this hotel was in March last year and when I checked their website the hotel is described as a "luxuriously furnished boutique hotel".
Has anyone stayed there recently and care to comment on it? Has the hotel been refurbished since last year because the pictures on the website certainly do not appear to be those of a dump.

Not sure about any upgrade of the hotel, I serioulsy doubt it and I have just checked the website and its the same pics etc that it has had for years....I still disagree that the place is a "dump" per se - its glory days are behind it and it knows it - its clean, cheap and a rock throw from central Sukhumvit and the Sky Train down a popular soi...but if you want better than just south of 3 star go elsewhere...Enjoy.

At a certain point saving money becomes wasting the money you do spend. The Promenade is this point.
This is the place where you get a room to keep your luggage in and bring a beer garden girl to for ST if you have a late night flight out and you don't want to pay for a full night elsewhere.
