I just payed 2695 a night for 5 nights at this hotel. The maid there was so beautiful, I almost had to say forget the p4p and go for that. She was extremely good looking. better looking than 90% of the p4p girls I've seen.
Anyways, the biggest problem I had with this hotel is the location. This hotel is nice and spacious, but it is quite a distance down the soi. So to get to the skytrain which IMHO is the best mode of transportation in heavy traffic times. So simply for that I probably wouldn't stay here cause time is money to me.

The problem with On line and Travel agents and call direct that its all diffrent persons and prices. Lets say if you like to stay in pratunam market area were I lived before. If you check in to any hotel you get a shit price but if you go down 4 min to a close agent he will give you a hell of a good price. I think thats goes for the rest of bangkok as well. If you can not hassel in Thai there is always a better price on the agents places.

Guess it all depends on your perspective. I don't believe it's any more than a 5 minute walk to Suk. Guessing the distance, it's maybe 200, 300 meters.

Oh yeah, sorry forgot to thank CG for his input, that's why I decided on this hotel for an option. Of course it is OK to walk that ain't that far and being only 30 and doing daily cardio for 30 minutes believe me this is not much of a walk. But IMHO, it is far if you have an injury of any sort or you don't want to get quite hot before jumping on the skytrain and taking a taxi to Sukhmvit just to take the Skytrain is quite a waste of money.

I'm planning to stay at the RP for 2 weeks this month. Has anyone stayed in the Emerald Suite? It's in the Court Wing and about 200 baht more expensive than the Sapphire Suite (which I have stayed in before).

Just remember if you are staying at RP you are supporting a 35% increase of price in less than 9 months,, a rip-off.
But it is a nice place to stay.

Yet have to now agree, RP is no longer good value, gone up from 2280 bht up to close to 3000bht, (when convert, damn AUS dollar has been whacked). That couple with the construction works going on, basically spell no go for me there.
Majestic Grande does look the better value for sure.
President Park looks good to at least up until June 30 where there Deluxe studio can be had for 1980 + taxes per night.
