I have seen it from outside but never ventured inside. But the pics in the website look decent. But bomehow I dislike the name. "Boutique" to me sounds like "cute but expensive." Though this one may be the exception.

Used to sell hundreds of nights there every month. Its a nice cosy very clean place, not old and modern interior.
Standard and Superior rooms are small, and only Spa Deluxe upwards have a bathtub. I feel that this in particular lets the place down. Apart from that, the rooms come well equipped with most mod cons.
5 mins walk to the MRT and definitely guest friendly if you book a twin/double. Heard from many guests that the service is quite good as well.

Have had a most satisfying experience booking a hotel (Bangkok Boutique) through thaihoteldiscounts.com. Tim had been exceptionally helpful and responsive and notwitstanding the short notice was able to get me exactly what I wanted. He helped me with 'last minute' amendments to my original booking, being personally involved at each stage of the process.
A frequent traveller to Bangkok, this is the first time I have booked through thaihoteldiscounts.com. Given my experience, it will certainly not be the last.

I am very skeptical about your post, you are newly registered user, with a virgin status, yet you say you travel a lot to BKK. I wonder why did you pick this hotel, which is far away from BTS and not near anything, no store close by, and off the usual path. There is lots of traffic on Asoke, jamming and noise which comes with that. It is an old hotel that was newly redone but the location is very far. I suggest people to use google and find more reviews on this hotel. I got excelent service with http://www.asiarooms.com but its always good to compare prices I use: http://www.hotelreslist.com/. Sounds like another one of hiddent ads using new nick, for a particular travel agent's site... lol.

I quite honestly do not follow the thread of your logic here.
What has a virgin status on the BTF got to do with my being a frequent visitor to BKK? I don't understand the connection. And fwiw, I have been travelling to BKK for over 25 years now!
I picked this Hotel after reading a few posts about it in this very forum and thereafter, visiting their site. My post in any case had precious little to do with the hotel, let alone a review, and was entirely about my experience with thaihoteldiscounts.com. At the time of the posting, I hadn't seen the hotel!
I have been here a day now and some of what you say is true. It is indeed some distance away from the BTS and the way I reached there was taking the MRT to Suhkhumvit ( a station away) which is a 15 Baht ride and from the hotel including the time it took me to walk to the MRT, a 15-20 minute trip. Not very convenient.
Your information on no store being close by is incorrect.There is a 7-11 conveniently locarted right next to the hotel. Yes, there is no other "shopping" in the immediate vicinity if that is what you implied.
Will post my experience of the hotel after I check out two days later.

Hotelreslist is a useful tool to compare. just make sure you are using the same currency to compare. Some sites advertise in Thai Baht and charge in USD, some give you very cheap rates and add on service charge at the end. Some charge your credit card even before confirmation, then come back room is full. takes 4 months to refund the money.
Suggest forum members to be aware and to shop around.
