Guys be very VERY aware,, I previously inquired re pricing for Royal president apartments and was quoted 2030 BHT ( saphire suite) for dates end of December.
I have not replied due to being ill etc ( hospital ) but noew wanted to confirm pricing,,, price came back as 3,040 BHT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What the FFFFFFFFFF,,,,
further research in the normal booking sites show similiar 50% increases in RPA pricing,, inflation gone mad????????????

I think it is more than fair to share a 50% increase with other BTF members,, yes I will vote with my feet.
But as a part of this forum I wish others to be aware of this blatant rip-off bordering on theivery.
I too live in a land of capatilism and agree it is the priveledge of the owner to set pricing as they see fit, but it is also the priveledge of the buyer to make others aware of crazy increases.

I think they have just dug themselves a grave!
unless some major refurbishing goes on in there and they make there rooms modern and lastest electonics etc.. they will find their hotels will be empty..

I'm glad you posted this increase but I disagree it's a ripoff. You had the chance to book at a lower rate and for whatever reason you didn't. It's high season and the hotels can get higher prices. Some times you win some times you lose.

I agree with BigD.
The lower offer is made to entice bookings, early.
If people are not enticed, then tough.
Either make up your mind quickly or pay the price (ie higher rates).

Thanks Erik for reply,, I did not try to book direct,, at the time I checked prices http://www.Resort hotel was about the best price so went through them,,if you check prices at all 5 major sellers such as Thailand hotels, BKK hotel,, Asia rooms etc they have ALL gone up VERY substantially, it is obviously a price increase driven by the hotel itself and I will be advertising this FAR and WIDE.
It is soo unacceptable to me that I will make it my business to do all possible to put a large dent in their business.

Believe it's called "supply and demand". Just like airplane seats... those cheap ones do get bought, allowing the company to raise the price on the now more limited ones remaining. (Of course, knowing the RP, I don't think they have the sophisticated pricing algorithms of the airlines...)
You can always hope they don't fill ALL the rooms, and the price will drop at the last minute.
But what I've seen in the 10 years that I've used the RP (not continuous  ), in the past couple of years, they seem to be TRYING to cater more to the Japanese who are willing to pay those prices.

Fkk them,, I just got a MUCH better room at Majestic grande for 2,777BHT.....,,, booked so no sudden 50% price increases.
