heard last night while drinking at the open bar V9 2 Year Anniversary Party that Champ-Elysses opened there renovated section last night.
Something similar to Forte and Carribean. Not sure on the prices and stuff, but heard from friends that it was very nice indeed.
Anybody make it out and see???

I thought Champ-Elysses was a MP and not a dance club like Forte and Carribean. 
Well, it was a MP when I was there in June 2004.

Champ Elysses is an MP.
If you look at the compound that they are situated in, they moved to the other building sometime ago from what my friends tell me, while they were renovating the old side, which now has become a Forte-like Club. My friends stated tthat it was packed and very nice, obviously the option to take the girl to the other side was a extra option, but dunno if that will be always since it was the grand opening.

Champs Elysses is an MP located at the cross roads of Rachadapisek and Rama 9. Coming from Sukhumvit it is on your left hand side right at the cross roads.
The place is owned by the guy who has the Penthouse magasine franchise and the girls are supposed to be mostly Penthouse models. Prices are very high - Bt4000 or Bt5000.
It is a little bit different in set up. The place is built to resemble the Champs-Elysses - buildings on both sides with a wide walking street imbetween. In the walking street there is a band and lots of tables where people eat and drink and watch the girls who hang around and chit chat. You can pick a girl and drink and chit chat with her before you head upstairs.
If NYCman is right they may have taken this one step further, making the band more lively and having the girls dance. Seems an interesting concept right.... imagine if you could grab your favourite Carribean girl and take her upstairs for a coupple of hours. (All sounds a little unThai though)
We need someone to check it out...

inquired again (and again) to my friend who went.
it was a "soft-opening" for members (membership cards and stuff), I guess to sort of test the waters. He said it was really good but only open to those with previous memberships.
He asked the people there and they said that it would have another opening later....
I'll try to keep you posted.
(damn it everytime you ask a Thai person a question, you have to ask the exact question, you never seem to get the answer expanded upon if you dont)
