Yep 20 Club is where my pal Duangchalerm engaged in well justified self defense against a professional killer who by accident was also a police sgt maj.
The proposition that the police were unarmed is ridiculous. By their own account they were on duty investigating a kidnapping ring.
Also the forensic pathologist reports that the dead cop had a VERY high blood alcohol level. Drunk on duty and armed.
I hope Duangchalerm gets off. And I say "f_ck you" to anyone who thinks otherwise. Chalerm Yubamrung is a great guy, nuts to the Thai press who hate him.

Oldhand - I have to disagree with you. I may not know the fellow in question as well as Sauron does but that doesn't mean I don't have serious doubts as to the reporting as well as the situation of the events.
There are just too many things that stink about the way the situation has been reported as well as who could possibly gain from one's son, along with one's entire life and career being called into question.
This is one situation where making the obvious most probable decision based on publicized "facts" may not necessarily be the right decission.
Even if the guy shot one supposedly unarmed member of the police force, how the hell did he get away with all the other members of the given task force that were not only reported as being there but also were reported as surrounding this guy? He should have had at least 5 slugs him if things were as was reported.
Look at both the trend in Thai government as well as in news reporting and you will see both sides looking for and emphasising the conspiratorial or ?????? people in power or the government.
( ????? = I'm sorry but I have forgotten the English word for people who are protected by or protect others in their family. )
Do not judge those whom you have not met and know personally or know nothing about too quickly based on others' words alone.
