these bars are, you might say, a combo of both bar girl joints and regular bars (sure you'd love them!). There's no dance or go-go act inside, just plain band performing while guests sit round tables drinking or play pool at the several tables that are a feature in most of these. At the Radio City on PP there's no pool table, people stand around and clap and sing along, and the music is loud rock. At the Country Road II, mentioned by Dave and Greg, on the corner of Asoke and Soi 19 there are 2 bands performing and they generally play rock and country. Dave's right, quite a few cuties at this place  in chequered skirts and white shirts.
I am eager to get back there !

Cool cool cool. Thanks a ton for the info. I tell ya's Oct. can not get here quick enough for me. If all goes well that's when I plan on hitting over to BKK.
What about the Woodstock bar? With a name like that as well as the sign, you'd think it'd be a classic rock bar. Am I right or am I wrong?

woodstock bar is the only bar I know that is quiet and doesn't have girls.
I sometimes meet business guys there so there are no distractions

Sounds like the Woodstock may make a good place to stop for a quick beer. Just to get away from the "action" and relax for a quick bit before heading back out to the field to hunt.

If your are down in Pattaya, a must bar for hard rock music and some good looking girls is "THE BLUES FACTORY", just off Walking Street, down near Marine.
BAND:
Every Wed and sun night it all hard rock music, the old stuff, Deep Purple, Led Zepplen, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Bon Jovi etc. None of the new lolly pop bullshit and certainly no Brittney Spears.
One look at the guys that play and sing (A great thai singer and some ferangs) and you know they epitomize these bands. Their looks resemble Steve Tyler and Mick Jagger.
Buy them a drink (When they are playing of course) and they will do you old favouites.
GIRLS:
Found a few small groups of girls (3-4) togther on their night off, just drinking and dancing. Use some charm and who knows.
Otherwise duck out to the nearest Go Go and grab your own.

Silent Bob- If your goin in October we definately must hook up.......I love Woodstock for afternoon sandwich, pool playing, relaxing before the nightly NEP crawl. The bar is located right in NEP, and has lots and lots of vintage R&R concert posters, Fillmore West, etc....though sadly the last two times I was there, they were showing these god awful B-horror movies......,.Never quite figured that one out!!!!!!!!!!!

COOL! I love B-movies. Especially the ones from Troma...of course. Oct. is the timeframe I'm shooting for but being in the service  it all depends what's going on at the time. I'd hate to get a ticket then have some b.s. come up and get stuck with a ticket I can't use.

Yea.. Tromas so tongue in cheek, but I think they were showing like "the people under the stairs", or some such idiotic shit, but they got a HUGE DJ booth for such a size bar, any way I'm sure we can get um to put on some J-Geils or something once we go in.... E-mail me as I can't get to your E-address, and we can hook up definately in October... I'm also hopin to meet some other posters as well....Take care, PS Been to White Beach in Okinawa?
