at 1:00am a substantial number of them goes home
and you will notice a huge influx of beauties walking out towards suriwongse road, many waiting for taxis at the top of the soi while the others walk towards rama 4.
a good number of them also fills up the makeshift open restaurants located in a small soi beside jim thompson, another one just beside the family mart and the other near the 711 and most of the time they woulld stay until about 2-4:00 am in the morning. if you want to do
some 'window shopping' it would be better to sit in one
of those makeshift restaurants on a small soi just beside jim thompson at around 12:00 midnight. many girls uses this soi (instead of thaniya) when going out to catch a cab at rama 4. they also shop for clothes at the makeshift stores right in front of jim thompson before going home.
although surely better looking, girls here a little indifferent compared to their sukhumvit sisters and many don't make eye contacts...so a prospect of pick-up is very low. i tried to approach a girl (waiting for a taxi) to set-up with my buddy but was turned down - saying she needs to go home. then again, there might be some other opportunites in future.
best thing i guess is to sit and have a drink (many girls are drinking too...in groups before going home) then probably they loosen up a bit after round of drinks-a good time for attack.

Just sae=w your post responding to mine. Actually I had heard of that factor you mentioned both from my japanes friends and those Thais who are in biz down there. (I'm referring to the accounatbility issue.)
As for taking a turn at the mic. If you notice, despite my clunky syntax, I meant that you MUST take a turn. I struggled valiantly but it was futile. Mind you my rendition of "Yesterday" always brings the house down...
By the way did you notice my mention of the struggle for the bill? That cracks me up the way there must be a big fight over who will pay. I of course have experienced it with all of the Japanese guys I've been out with but two of my best friends are Japanese and they have been close friends for decades -- yet they still have to do that! I always play up my role as the American barbarian and say "Oh shut up! Let him pay! Jiro you pay next time!" It's always clear that they are not only amused but secretly grateful for my intevention; it saves time!

I'm rather proud of my ability as well. I sing my song and when I'm finished I look around and no one is there anymore. I ask the staff and they tell me it was because they all wanted to rush out to find my CD. Stange though, I never made a CD. Oh well, I take it as an honor anyway. Maybe if I go to an RT sometime, I can sing for all the brothers? ;)
I did notice you mentioning the bill paying. It can be a pain in the posterior end some times but I've slowly gotten my friends to accept "Dutch treat". But still, there are those that I go out with from time to time where we spend 15 or 20 minutes fighting over who gets to pay. Oh well, sometimes I miss being treated like a Gaijin! ;) I don't get away with the "Barbarian allowance" anymore.

I have some Japan friends who I often play golf with. We often hang out in Thaniya clubs. I have been in so many the Thaniya clubs with them and I know the Chi-mama in many of the stores so I can venture in on my own or taking my other Dutch or Swedish friends in for some luxury enjoyments. If the chi-mama know you already and you are a good customer they will be very nice to you. Otherwise first timer farang guy, they will simply tell you its a member club, sorry sorry.
Arcadia is probably the cheapest place to open a bottle, they have promotion when I was there last time for VSOP 1 thousand baht. But you have to buy lady drinks for ladies and chi-mama too, one drink is 150, then a table charge and snack set. If you want VIP room is extra 500 an hour.
The line up is so amazing like 200 girls sitting line up in front of you and you get to pick a few to take to your room. They are really naughty playing with you and of course kissing touching is almost allowed. They will ask for tip for touching or fingering. Take out fee has risen from 500 to I think 1000. Then the girl will mostly ask you for 2500-3000 for body fee. Of couse they do not go off with you if they don't like you. But if you are nice customer and will give her waht she ask for, Arcadia I think 2500-3000 will do for body fee. Maybe more for the a few super cuties, may ask you 4000-5000.
Some other places are mostly for pick up and go less drinking like Island, Paradise, Ai, VIP Tsuru, Jina, ect. Some places are more cattered to drink drink and go. Like Marco Polo, Sarasa, Moulin Rouge (have sexy show), Kirara, Rokmeikan ect. These drink drink and go places are really expensive but have so many stunners, so you maybe spending all 7000-8000 for a shot starting from drinking in the store till finish boom boom.
The pick up and go places, you may just pic a lady and pay off fee and go. Ask chi-mama to know which one will go or will not go. Off fee depend on the store and depend on the time of night. Somewhere from 1000-to way over 2000 for off fee no include sex. And as I tell you body fee is not cheap for the top cuties, they may ask you the japan price, 3000 to up to infinite. But for normal cutie at Arcadia for example, 2500-3000 will do,i think, sometimes they even go out and come back a few times for more income. Lots of rich working girls around here. Many even have a few Japan guys support them as mistress buying them condos or cars or simply sending the girls money each month from Japan as gift for living expenses.
