Just got back from Piano. Was dissapointed. Drinks 300 baht each. Must spend 600 baht min on drinks. Girl 350 baht per 40 minutes. Many pretty ones but I've seen equally nice in GG Bars. Men waiters had bad attitude and full of themselves (untypically Thai) - found them to be unfriendly. Music was good. Would not go again in a hurtty.

after a while you jsut get sick of gogo's and you want something different! these g-clubs are good for a change.
but if you want straight sex and cheaper, mostly even better looking flesh the gogo's and mp's are certainly more efficent!

Griffin- I can't but not agree with your assertion. For slow romantic types, I think your right the higher end stuff is where it's at. For Rock and Roll slam bamers, the Soi 7 Beergarden, Nana Disco, NEP, and the Thermae, and Grace Hotel Coffee shop are my fav's, though certainly not everyones cup of tea

Well, we have different taste. That's a nice Hi So club and do really enjoy it. Been in Monroe a couple of days ago and also was good.
You certainly can get cheaper drinks at the beer bars and GG-bars if that's your type of entertainment. I like to try everything in the seek of good fun.

I have never been to Soi 33 but like the occational upmarket experience. However, I do not like to spend several visits/nights on getting a girl to come with me and spend the night.
Can any of you with experince fm Soi 33 tell me if any of the bars have girls who usually WILL come with you the first night, providede you behave well, are friendly and spend some money there?

you can not say in general but providing you do all that and are prepared to pay the barfine i guess that about 70% of the girls would be in to it!
if you want to make side arrangements may be 40-50% just ask them!

I agree with you Griffin,
I was at soi 33 bars and one thing i noticed that girls are much better looking then any other establishment I been too. I almost bar fine the one girl but I was in hurry to find a some old friends. I think 70% of the girls will say yes to you if you behave and talk with them.

If you don't speak Thai or have a suave translator, then that percentage could drop to 10% or less? Might not be too much fun for a first trip. Of course, if you didn't speak any Thai then you are not likely to get as much out of this type of meeting anyway.
I guess SOI 33 is mainly for expats and return tourists. Those without any connections or language experience are SOL unless they only want some nice scenerary and don't mind paying top-dollar for it.
(Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.)

I guess I am an hybrid between expat and return tourist. I do not speak thai, but I am fairly quick with alnguages, so I can pick up some phrases before comming, I have been to Thailand in my work over the last 10 years (Rojana Industrial Park) and got bitten by the bug. I return to BKK when the urge gets too strong.
Iits more a mental urge than a physical one, what ladies can make you feel more welcome and appreciated....
God, I am tolkong myself into an urge again.
So, to summarize I have
- little Thai
- some experince
- lots of urge
I guess that gives me a success factor on night 1 of 40%.
Personally, I'll go for it. Soi 33 next.
