As the resident Q Bar fan of the BTF I felt that I should post the latest on Q Bar.
Yesterday, August 26, Q Bar presented their new membership program. Previously they just gave cards away with a few priviledges.
Now it is a program which you need to buy.
2 options:
Wild Card - 30.000 THB
Credit on card is 33.000 THB.
Free bottle at signing up.
Free entry + 1 guest.
Birthday package - 20 guests and free bottle Champagne.
Trump Card - 60.000 THB
Credit on card is 66.000 THB.
2 Free bottle at signing up.
Free entry + 3 guest.
Birthday package - 20 guests and free bottle Champagne.
Free entry at special events.
Besides this they do award for the highest 5 spender on the card on a mon thly basis.
Do not know if you all think this is a great deal. Since me and the missus are frequent visitors we thought it was not too bad. At least we can see how much we spend now...

seems bottle by bottle is a safer deal. what hapens if they are beng closed by the authorities??
but manuel is probably through the tab in 3 weeks, if the whole spa starts to be a regular in there.

Those two days of closing are not helping me very much. I actually though that this was going to 'save' me Baht on the long run..

you mean they aren't charging US $5,000 like they are at the Soho house in NYC...nah just kidding let me know how the membership thing works and if it is really is worth it. i'm only in town maybe once or twice a year so I think i'll stick to paying at the door

Manuel bkk - your first post doesn't say how long the membership is for. Also how much is the door entry without a membership so we can see if the membership is worth it for those who only visit Bkk a few times a year?

on that card how do they tabulate when your money is up? Is it just drinks / food that get charged against the card? Do they deduct entry fee from the card? So even though it appears you have free entry b/c you are not coming out of pocket right then at that moment (you have in actuality already paid for it). I know the last time I was there the entry fee on the weekend was BT 650. How long does the membership last which was asked previously? Now when you run out of credit on that card, are you still privy to so called "free entry" if the term of the membership is not up or do you have to renew once you run out of credit?

Membership is valid for 1 year.
Entrance at door:
Monday to Thursday - 400 Baht - 2 coupons of 200 Baht towards drinks
Friday to Sunday - 600 Baht - 2 coupons of 200 Baht towards drinks
Special events - 800 Baht - 2 coupons of 200 Baht towards drinks
If you are only coming for a few times per year I think it is difficult to spend the 33.000 Baht credit. Basically it is approx 14 bottles of liquor to go through. (If buying bottles, or 150 long Island Ice teas)
