A while back in Jockeys - my mongering days having recently been significantly curtailed - a bemused group of drinkers at the bar including myself watched the Fat Controller interupt, confront and aggresively remonstrate with one poor totally embarrased punter who presumably had dared to approach a provider outside of her network!!
The result - not only did the punters companion scarper sharpish but he was almost dragged by the collar over to her group of girls by the central pillars...
I dare say he hasnt been back either!!

Still some repercussions from this event. Last night at Seaview the security guard passed by my date and said CID were there. I couldn't pick any obvious looking CID out of the crowd. On departure was a little bit concerned and asked the doorman, "Mr. House". He said they had been there, but it was for something else.
Even though I was quite close it was difficult to see exactly what was happening, however one guy was unconscious and had to be carried out. If he had to have medical treatment, which was likely, I am sure there will some sort of police investigation.
Even if this is a different department to the “vice squad” there is always the worry that they will be discussing the place over chai and seshia and draw unwanted attention. It just shows how one or two idiots can potentially screw things up for a lot of people.

Yes always entertaining even if you have no interest in pulling that night. Other places may have a larger selection of girls and what some posters define as “top” or “quality” girls. But my flat-mate has pulled several Seaview PRC that meet my definition of quality recently. (I have not pulled myself for ages as I am content with my 10 month regular.)
You may want to try the “Music Room” if you want an alternative place to take a date on a Thursday is you want to avoid the crowds. It’s “civilian” but the atmosphere is such you would not feel out of place with a girl many years you junior. The bands IMHO, are not up to the Seaview standard, but they are still very good.

Oops, Well it shows someone reads my drivel! So here is more.
Midweek - It’s not like the weekend.
Jockeys 9:15 to 9:45
Fortunately there was no sign of the fat controller, I didn’t look in every corner, but it’s not like she is either small or a shrinking violet. There were a good number of PRC’s, no real stunners but there were several attractive ones. The handful of Africans included one very attractive girl. The CIS were a bit thin on the ground, as opposed to just thin as there were a couple of T54’s but there some attractive ones as well, blonds don’t often turn my head but one Ruskey did last night. However she did not seen to stick around long.
I spotted a couple of guys and for some reason thought CID (ethnic group yes, but something else less tangible), they approached a couple of girls and they all seemed very wary. They were probably just a couple of regular guys who were wondering why they were getting nowhere, but, for the girl a big risk in the current situation.
On the way out we spotted Beyonce and another girl getting out of a taxi, well not her, but another very attractive African, who at least in her wig, bore a resemblance to Miss Knowles.
Seaview 9:50 to 01:00
We commandeered the Destiny’s Child crew bus and headed to the Seaview, perfectly timing our arrival with the start of the first set. Without the weekend crowds we got a table, the waitress obviously thought we were looking a little peaky as she kept us really well supplied with carrot and cucumber all night.
Things followed the usual pattern. At first mostly PRC’s (including most of the usual suspects) and a few Africans, then the ‘Stanis arrived, including a very attractive Khazak (a friend of mine once countered her price quote with “I am not buying, I only want to rent”). Then, a bit later the Filipina’s arrived, who were in “wildebeest” mode, clinging together in a herd. There was also a group of three reasonably attractive Russians.
I think I am pretty well marked in the PRC’s in the Seaview as a non player so I seldom get much in the way of unsolicited approaches, last night however one girl latched on and did her best to get me interested giving me a quick demo of her massage skills (she would be good!) in the process. She kept coming back to see if I had changed my mind, and to stock up on carrots and cucumber. She was a bit chunky and probably not the first girl you would have picked in a fishbowl, but she seemed a lot of fun and it was only the thought of a death O’clock wake up that finally prevented me from giving in.
All in all a good night out and proof there are still plenty of girls around.

On a point of mongering principal I decided to brave the traffic last night and pitched up at Jock's last night seemingly just after brother Barcrawler had moved on...
Settling down at the members long table to watch a few overs of cricket I was drawn into conversation with an attractive african with an unusual sales pitch

Anyways - I cant remember if I have ever been approached with the line "would you like to put your banana between my tomatoes!!"
This girl is too modest - in my estimation she had a least a fine pair of african mangos and I told her so!!
In the end my attention was drawn back to cricket and hers to the the American Navy contingent and that was that!!
Nice to be back!

Seaview Price Rises?
I forgot to mention in my last post that It appears the drink prices have risen in the Seaview. I was charged 52 AED last night for two beers. I am sure you always used to get change from a 50 note.
I guess someone is now going to ask why did I not edit the original post!

Well, there are always taxi's, but that 50 dhs round trip can add a bit of overhead when you just want to go out and enjoy a low-key beer or 2 (I know from personal experience).

I have edited my post (8:59 am on April 4, 2007) as I had refered to some of the CIS women in Jockey’s as T52s – This should have read T54.
The T-54 tank series was the Soviet Union's front-line main battle tank produced between 1947 until 1962. It has a weight of 36.6 Tonnes. This fits a few of the Jockey’s CIS regulars perfectly!
