Quote: from PussyLover 69 on 2:22 pm on Feb. 23, 2003 Smegma, Where exactly is the club and how much do you have to pay for the screw ? Besides Japan is there any other place in the world where you can get to participate in such 'live' sex shows ?
It seems a rather similar place opened in Prag. You pay a cheap entrance fee and the drink and then enjoy free sex with one girl or more. Downside is you're filmed and it's broadcasted over the internet. More info on the wsgforum, Prag's section

Quote: from Ronaldo on 10:55 pm on Feb. 17, 2004 ...The words ‘love’ and ‘hotel’ combined in the English language conjure up romantic images of energetic weekends away; breakfast in bed, walks in the woods, dinner by candlelight and champagne and whatever else springs to mind by an open fire. In Japan, however, the resultant image of the same combination is somewhat different...

MAEHARA RLD (OKINAWA) From Route 58, turn on to Route 34 (Ojana). Drive up the incline and once the road levels out, stay alert for the yellow & red 'San-A' sign on the left. Stay in the center lane as you'll need to turn right just past the San-A sign. There'll be a crosswalk/intersection at the '40km' & 'No Parking' signs over head. Make a right turn in to the alley street with blue signage at the entrance. Follow the alley back, once you come to the babyshit green buildings on the left, you've arrived at Maehara red light district. Mind the flow of traffic signs while driving through the area, don't be a moving road hazard like I was. Roadways are really narrow, keep alert for (drunk) locals walking down the middle of the steet, taxis cruising through and mopeds darting through intersections. Activity apparently starts early here, as a handful of gals were hanging in the doorways as early as 1:30pm on a Saturday afternoon. Sunday a little slower, with more gals showing up at dusk. I'd say some gals at Maehara RLD are 'gaijin friendly', maybe more so than Yoshihara RLD. I got some smiles and waves while cruising through Maehara, more than I got at Yoshihara. Mixed bag of gals working here ranging from young & less young, slim & less slim, and cute & down right buh-fugly. Maps - http://www.geocities.com/Pentagon/3611/map2.jpg Cheers, - B - ================= EDIT IN [22.08.2005] 1) Photos of Maehara district [JP] - http://gpzagogo.s8.xrea.com/shinmathi.html 2) Rates: Y 5000 / 15min Y10000 / 30min Girls do use timers and its all business. One pop and your times up. Don't expect any sort of GFE here. As always, YMMV. - B -

Things probably aren't any different in Soi Thaniya - Salarymen go for bust in hostess heaven By Mark Schreiber SHUKAN JITSUWA (Feb. 2) "It would have been around last summer," the 27-year-old employee of an auto-sales company recalls to Shukan Jitsuwa with a pained expression. "A superior at work invited me out to a kyabakura (cabaret club) in Shinjuku for the first time. The girls were terrific in every way that counts. They were so sweet, I just felt the stress from work melting away." Kyabakura -- budget-priced drinking establishments that charge a flat hourly rate to sit and drink with young hostesses -- are popular with rank-and-file salarymen. But a growing number of salaried workers have been discovering to their chagrin that kyabakura can be an ruinously expensive habit. This phenomenon -- of kyabakura-induced bankruptcies -- seems closely related to the improved economy, Shukan Jitsuwa reports. Back when times were really hard, men could afford little more than the occasional romp at a commercial sex establishment. But with the rise in stock prices hinting at better times ahead, men visit clubs where they can relax over a drink, and entertain the hope they might get lucky and seduce a sweet young thing. A 24-year-old retail store employee relates his own tale of woe. "Although my monthly take-home pay was only about 180,000 yen, I began visiting a club in Ikebukuro where this really nice girl worked. I wound up going four nights a week, with the bills more than 20,000 yen each time. Within a year, I'd spent over 2 million yen and was flat broke. I had no choice but to file for personal bankruptcy. "Even though I blew so much money there, I never managed to get laid even once," he moans. According to the clubs' system, customers who arrive early in the evening can enjoy drinks and banter with a comely lass for as little as 2,000 yen an hour. But, as an old saying goes, "If enough dust gathers, it becomes a mountain." The charges mount up, and before he realizes, the customer is spending more than he can afford. "Nobody wants to be regarded as cheap, so they'll spring for the girls' drinks at 1,000 yen a pop," explains a knowledgeable insider. "The girls know how to entice customers into extending their stay just at the right moment. And taxes and service charges of up to 20 percent get tacked on to your bill." "Clubs these days are targeting nerdy, unattractive men, especially inexperienced types like computer geeks," says Shinichi Kobayashi (a pseudonym), who's been researching the phenomenon. "Hostesses are emulating the TV drama 'Dangerous Akine,' starring Misaki Ito, who previously appeared in the smash hit 'Train Man.' Most men who go bust at the hands of kyabakura these days are these nerdy types, who haven't developed an 'immunity' to the machinations of young cuties." In addition to the urban otaku (geeks), it seems kyabakura have also been attracting males from the countryside, and bus companies are now even running club-hopping tours to the big cities. Many clubs operate blogs on the Internet, where the men can exchange messages with hostesses before they actually pay a visit. "In rural areas where there's a shortage of eligible brides, men have virtually no chance to talk to young women," an Internet journalist tells Shukan Jitsuwa. "These fellows probably entertain fantasies about marrying a lovely hostess." "Today's young women tend to be aloof, and the salaryman's dream -- of a warm smile and sweet talk -- is just that, a pipe dream," pronounces Yukio Murakami, a writer who covers the pink trade. "The girls just put on an act of freshness and innocence to boost their earnings, but men convince themselves it's real. This deceptive thrill -- of them encountering the girl of their dreams -- is what entices them to spend more."

Uhhh, not exactly. Major difference being guys patronizing hostess clubs in Thaniya do get laid, even if they pay ridiculous bottle or table fees. Cabaret clubs in Japan are essentially blue-ball joints where (mild-mannered) fools pay to merely have a hostess chat, drink and sing karaoke with them. Hostesses often string "regular" customers along, either with mere promises of sex or bare minimum sexual contact. There are similar clubs in Japan where women can equally throw away their paychecks for a few hours of attention from a male host.

KAWASAKI HORINOUCHI RLD (TOKYO) "Kawasaki Booths" Kawasaki Horinouchi primarily has soaplands, but there are also a number of 588/Miari/Yongsan style shops that are gaijin-friendly. Yongsan RLD - http://tinyurl.com/289t72 Most the soapies will not accept gaijin, most of the other establishments do. Set up is similar to what I mentioned in my earlier Maehara report, differences being cost (Y10K), time limit (30min), and selection (Korean, Chinese & a few Japanese). Location - http://maps.google.com/maps?q=35.533763,139.706640 Getting there (updated 10.Mar.2009) Take a train to either JR Kawasaki or Keikyu-Kawasaki stations. These stations are close by and run parallel to each other (see map) : - http://www.cbc.ac.jp/nihongo/images/map-town-english.gif - From JR Kawasaki station, take the East exit and follow escalators down to the Azalea underground mall. After getting to Azalea mall, make your way to and take Exit 39 (see map). -- http://www.azalea.co.jp/map/ura_A.pdf - From Keikyu-Kawasaki station, take the Central exit. Proceed straight ahead and cross the street, walking under (parallel to) the train rails overhead. DICE pachinko/game center will come up on your LEFT. At the next intersection past DICE, you will see ODAKAYA MORE'S (sign in English). Turn LEFT at this intersection. Whether taking Exit 39 (from JR) or turning left at Okadaya More's (from Keikyu), continue walking straight ahead along Shiyakusho Street for 3~5 blocks. You'll come up to a side street with a 7-Eleven on the corner, and a rainbow colored sign over head to your LEFT (The JTB office shown in the URL below is now the 7-Eleven). - http://www.kawasaki-soap.com/map/map5.html Turn LEFT here and follow the side street back. After about 3-4 blocks you will start noticing the soapie stablishments. Continue on and turn RIGHT about 1-2 blocks before you reach the end of the street (Rte 409 intersection). You should see the small buildings with glass windows, pink lighting, and girls in bikinis waving you in.

I don’t know about this particular area because I have never been there, but some of these areas it is very difficult for gaijin (foreigners) to get service. There used to be a large area over Koganecho station with “window ladies” that was quite easy for gaijin to get service most of the ladies were Thai and some Chinese. But a few years ago (due to pressure from the US related to human trafficking) the Japanese authorities pretty much shut the area down. I have not been there in nearly four years so who knows? In the same area there were a few soapies that would also provide service to gaijin as well. A few streets over from that area there were quite a few soapies and a few window ladies that were Japanese but it was near impossible to get service as a gaijin. I’ll have to give Kawasaki a try next time I have an extra day in Tokyo. Note: The picture in babaganoosh’s post in the first link is actually a picture taken in Korea and not Japan – in the Korean redlight district of Yongsan.
