I've been in japan several times long time ago.
Nippon sex scene was quite complicated, especially for foreigners.
Even now, I am sure it's easyer to pick up a student out of shopping mole than to have access to those very private clubs where also av stars do their performances.
The best clubs have a very simple basic requirement: you must be japanese.
Then there are at least five categories of bars, where basically you find a female partner to chit chat with. Nobody gets offended if you try to manage an afterhour session but most of the times you go back to your hotel alone.
I have heard of some club bars, somehow connected with companies which send their employed to entertain themself... the shabbiest of those bars allows foreigners also.
When I go in Japan, I prefer to play my little chances in private parties.

good morning all,
When i was in japan, i was stationed in okinawa at camp foster (u.s.m.c.) that place you are reffering to in the first post is called the stage and it is located in naha.
not a very clean place and it has been raided so many times that mngmt had to shut it down..
the other places are buy me drinky bars.... all they are are scaled down go-go bars (with filapinas) only you don't get to take the ladies home and if you do get lucky the bar fine is 250$ to 300$ and that is no guarantee that the lady will sleep with you.
they are located on gate 2 street and b.c. street.. next to gate 2 kadena Air Force Base (hence the street name)
also there is whisper ally wich is a little side street filled will aprtments with red lights...and little old ladies i don't think i have seen one younger that 35 in there and hardly any of them were good looking.. they run about 30$ to 50$ depends on what you want and you only get 15 mins..
next is ginowan which is right before naha port... here is where the yakuza runs the ladies... these ladies look real good but you had better be an asian man who can speak japanese or you won't get the lady you want... i spent almost a whole night trying to find one that would sleep with me... lets just say they don't like mixed races.. but there are a few that will but a for forigner it is a little expensive..... 150$ 200$ and if your are japanese 50 to 75$
so if you are planning to go to japan bypass okinawa as it is mainly for service men who are willing to pay all of their paychecks... for one block of 30 mins with a japanese girl... i had more fun in tokoyo in one night then i did in okinawa in one year...

It is very available in Tokyo expect to pay 35-45000 yen to have a woman visit your place fro 90 minutes or so. They also had/have those in Yokosuka just outside the naval base in a common squid hangout known as the Honch. A few filipinas in some bars, the others had middle aged/over the hill Japanese women who have probably been there since 'Nam.

First visit to Japan - what I found out:
The words ‘love’ and ‘hotel’ combined in the English language conjure up romantic images of energetic weekends away; breakfast in bed, walks in the woods, dinner by candlelight and champagne and whatever else springs to mind by an open fire.
In Japan, however, the resultant image of the same combination is somewhat different.
The services offered by a ‘love-hotel’ result from necessity. With a population of around twice that of the UK in a similar land-size, 85% of which is mountainous, space is at a premium. Also, until recently, most people lived with their families until marriage, often with three generations under one roof, separated by only paper screens. Without a private space for the most private of acts, the streets wouldn’t be a decent place to walk.
The Japanese are nothing if not a practical people, and in a country where sex is accepted without much of the guilt associated in the West, to combat the high prices of the traditional inn, or ryokan, love-hotels began springing up in the 1950’s, offering an affordable love-nest for rent by the hour.
Originally aping the ryokan they aimed to replace, from the 1960’s on, love hotels catering to modern, Western ideas of love and romance appeared. Many took an individual theme, whether that be a European-style hotel bedroom, a pleasure den with a rotating bed and a mirror on the ceiling or a movie, such as the eternally popular ‘Roman Holiday’ or ‘Gone With the Wind’, complete with duplicate bed and curtains.
As women gradually came to have more social and financial clout, hotels re-modelled themselves away from typically ‘male’ themes such as outer space and cars. Porno channels on the TV were out and a ‘come early, stay late’ policy was in, complete with karaoke machines, Jacuzzis and even swimming pools. Some love-hotels boast sun-beds for those who like to top up their tan on the job, or adjoining ‘swapping rooms’ for those who prefer to bed hop. Some have CCTV feeds from all the rooms, offering a unique in-house video channel where you can watch others watching you doing what you’re watching them do. A number of hotels provide ‘party rooms’ for groups and even S&M facilities for aficionados.
At others the fare is altogether more wholesome. One hotel famously offered a free trip to Tokyo Disneyland to any couple who stayed in all of their 24 rooms within a six month period, and a free trip to Hong Kong if they did it twice.
To ensure their clients can fully relax, love-hotels are models of discretion. Customers never see the staff and anonymity is assured. Drivers enter underground car parks hidden from view and staff cover their number plates to foil any prying eyes. An empty reception greets customers and a back-lit panel displays photographs of the available rooms. Pressing a button selects the chosen room, the light behind it goes out and lights on the floor act as a guide to the room. The open door closes behind you as you enter.
Inside, the room is fully automated. The TV, radio and lights can be controlled from the headboard of the bed and drinks, snacks and sex-toys can be ordered from room service, all of which can be paid for by credit card via an in-room cash machine. Some hotels provide ‘party rooms’ and even S&M facilities.
Dotted along highways and huddled around nightspots, with neon signs flashing and names like Châteaux Belle, Paradise and Casablanca, love-hotels are easily spotted and accessible to young couples with or without transport. A married couple wishing to add some spice to their love life, and a ‘salaryman’ (office worker), stumbling out of a bar with his favourite ‘office-lady’ (female office worker) after a night’s team-building karaoke and drinking, have the perfect location for a furtive clinch. Such is the abundance of love-hotels, there is never the need for a ‘Back to mine for a coffee, pet?’ invite as, just at the required moment, a love-hotel will appear in front of you.
Patronage is by no means the exclusive practice of the young, married or inebriated, and many customers bring their own entertainment.
While most customers could be described as ‘normal’, in a love-hotel the sleazier side of life is never far away. A few well-publicized murders have taken place in love-hotels, they’re frequently used as locations for porno film shoots, pay off locations for gangsters (the yakuza) and they play host to the ubiquitous sex industry.
The manager of Yuki’s hotel paid 200,000 yen (£1,075) a month to the local yakuza and every bedroom in the hotel had a flyer advertising ‘chiropractic’ services. Most afternoons, single men would take a room and several minutes later, a woman in her forties, wearing doctor’s whites, thick make-up, high heels and fish-net stockings would arrive, announcing she had a patient in the recently solo-occupied room. She would leave an hour later with her coat over her arm, her make-up smudged and her hair slightly ruffled, paying the hotel a cut of the bone re-positioning fee.
Whatever activity you have planned, the amount you’ll pay varies. Naturally, the more you pay the more you get, from the amount of free condoms beside the bed, to the quality of the shag on the floor. Taking a room at ‘rest’ rates will cost 2,000-5,000 yen (£11-27) for two hours, while an overnight stay rises to as much as 13,000 yen (£70).
Though often cheaper than all but the cheapest business hotel, love-hotels do not operate as normal hotels, and once you have left, you have to pay again to get back in. It is highly unlikely that groups of men wearing football shirts would find themselves let in, though at the end of a particularly dazzling, jinky solo-run, a love-hotel is the perfect place for your favourite celebration after you’ve scored.
Love hotels are a potential source of cheap accommodation during your stay in Japan. Most establishments will accept single guests of either sex though many draw the line at same sex couples. Ask at reception.

Well I still live here (okinawa).

I spent four years in Japan, first near Tokyo, then in Kyoto. My experience was that Japanese was essential to enter most places, but my first adventure in the "pink" scene (versus what would be called the "red light" district in America), a man approached me on the street and asked if I wanted a massage in English. I was wandering the streets of Kabukicho near Shinjuku JR and didn't speak any Japanese at the time. I think I paid 15,000 yen for full service (I think one hours worth).
There are tons of places to go to in Kabukicho ranging from hostess bars, blowjobs places, and full sex. Any place with a sign outside with numbers like 6,000 yen or 10,000 yen with some kind of sexual reference or a girl's photo is a place for sex. There are some places with the live sex show, but I never had a chance to go to one. I tried to go to one in Ibaraki-ken, a brazilian go-go place, but they were closed when we got there. According to some of the TV expose shows I saw, there are fetish places for all sorts from SM, to subway sexual harrassment (you're in a room that looks like the train and the girl dresses up as a schoolgirl), to a place where you do rock, paper, scissors in order to see under the girl's skirt.

While living in Japan - 5 years ago - once in a while I took a Thai street hooker in Kabukicho or Ikebukuro. I think I paid 10.000 Yen plus a room in a love hotel nearby. I have never seen nice Japanese girls in the streets, only old and ugly Japanese women. But I don't know about the scene today.
