Brothers Brothers - It's been awhile since I visited a certain Jumeriah MP located "behind" Spinneys UMALSQ but I had a few loose hours mid this afternoon and decided to go over on the off chance...
Well, God of Mongering be praised - the line up I was introduced to would make the knees shake of even the most hardbitten mongerers amongst us!!
Furthest left in the line of approx twelve lovelies was the smallest and seemingly youngest - barely legal youngest IMHO - who seemed so nervous that even a momentory glance in my direction seemed to be beyond her capabilities - I dare say there are some who might enjoy teaching her a thing or two but I was looking something a tad taller and more experienced and bless the God of Mongering once again there she was...

Hello Guys!
Help/Suggestions Needed
Out of town friends (including an old flame) comming to Dubai for a week. All of them interested in clubbing etc. Couple of them (females) are oriental featured ones and othere asians.
Any suggestions on Clubs?
Any info on Peppermint Club in Fairmont? What sort of admission policy do they have there.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Not unreasonable at all. I honestly roll my eyes or laugh in their face when I get one of those kinds of quotes.
About half the time, they will accept a counter-offer, when I explain I did not just roll into town last week.
I think most of them are just kiting a high price to see if anyone accepts and it would appear that there are enough punters taking the bait that it has become a new default.
Some guys are reporting 1500 as an opening bid!
About six months ago, I saw a reasonably cute, petite little Russian spinner at the York. She quoted me (it was 9pm) 1100 now, or 800 at 1am for LT. I almost choked on my cocktail.

The Imperial now seems to be more strictly enforcing its dress code- No track suits
- No 1/2 pants (aka baggies)
- No slippers (read sandals)
First 2, no problem, but I almost ran afoul of the last the other night. They did let me in because I was "known"; the gatekeeper "suggesting" a tip for bending the rules (not forthcoming - hell, there is always Seaview). But why risk the hassle? Pretty stupid, if you ask me. It's getting towards summer with the INCREASE in heat AND HUMIDITY, and this place IS a desert. Sandals seem pretty sensible. But perhaps a convenient way to keep local types out...
The club in Astoria, NOT TGIT, but club on 2nd floor that includes the Mexican restaurant, also applies same exclusion policy, at least they did last December. Also Long's Bar has been known to apply similiar criteria.
Talked with Miss A, a top member of the PRC Cyclone a-team. She mentioned that a number from the Cyclone's PRC diaspora have landed at both the Rattlesnake (as reported, bumped into some Saturday night), and York. Unsuccessfully tried were the Crown Plaza and Amnesia, both viewed as providing possible equal rates with Cyclone's. However, both seem to have an exclusion policy with respect to PRC's. If not a complete ban, then "restricted number" access. She, like others, tried the 'Snake, found it too down-market, so relying on returning clients.

I'd think very FEW Imperial ladies get those prices, though they may ASK. 500 dhs/1hr quoted last night negotiated to a more realistic 350/2 hours/2 shots. With a bit more time, could have gotten for my initial offer of 300, but TIME was of the essence - that 0-dark hundred wakeup looming, so 50 dhs not critical. But had to laugh inside; don't think I've negotiated in 50 dhs increments [she started it] since 2003. But as you allude to, says a lot about client's income level. Top price I was quoted there, from an a-lister, was 600 LT Friday nights. She could do better on Thursdays. Likewise, a Seaview a-lister; 500 OK except on Thursdays.
I'd guess that an influx of Cyclone refugees at York would encourage asking prices to go up.

I agree, not worth it to me. But as being discussed on the other forum, if they can get it, I say more power to them. I certainly don't begrude them that, and don't think those that pay those prices are either fools or ruining it for others. As I've often stated: a GOOD price is the price YOU are willing to pay HER THAT night. If someone trumps you, that's life.
They are certainly getting it enough that they can, for the most part, hold the price, prime time anyway. Now a 2:30am price could differ... as could a 4pm price.
Who? Those not knowing the price, assuming same as "back home". Businessmen on expense accounts, so everything BUT entertainment covered, and perhaps even that... A one-time, or infrequent visitor, who, taking the limited opportunity while away from home, the entertainment cost averaged out over a year... Or that contractor coming from/going to Iraq/Afganistan. Lot of money, lot of evidence of the fleetingness of life... Or perhaps someone who doesn't spend money on anything else but his hobby... All seeing someone who's worth it to them.
(Wonder if there's any of the "elite status due to cost" at work here?)

Do admire the PRC's work ethic. I'm GUESSING that, from her view, 200/shot * 3 = 600; reasonable for a couple of hours work (doubt too much cuddling involved).
I do know 1 Cyclone a-lister who could always pull 2 punters (as posted, we'd joke that if she was still there at 11pm, it was a slow night). That was 500/shot. So for a true LT, you had to cover that. When I talked to her yesterday (source of the above), 1st thing she said was, "My office closed." Had ME laughing when she added to her "went to York and Rattlesnake" a "good for YOU." Had HER laughing when I said I had been at Rattlesnake the other night and I STILL couldn't afford the prices.
Another a-lister, years ago, would tell me, "Now, 800. Not worth it to you. Wait until I get back from my ST [around midnight]; 500."

A former Miss T told me straight up that she charged me 500, a south asian 400, as she understood the racist nature of the salaries here. Guess she figured that while there was an absolute difference, cost to us was the same relatively.
I TRY Rhodesian with unwanted black attention, but as a comment on the lack of history education, they never understand

Certainly my price bracket, though I will admit that that bracket now excludes a number it used to cover. FOR ME, there's just something about going over that 500 ceiling... base price anyway. I will throw in taxi fare above that.
For me, I use the GM (the automaker) benefit gauge: If you ALWAYS get your 1st choice job applicants, your benefits are too high.
If you can only get your 4th or 5th choices, your benefits are too low.
The leading edge of a bell curve: a few 1st choices, more 2nd, always a 3rd... benefits are about right.

One other aspect of the "who" question. One of the reasons girls liked the Cyclone office was the entrance fee filter. That 85 dhs helped keep most of the riff-raff out (certainly worked on me). And it filtered in another way: anyone willing to pay 85 dhs for the privilege of simply entering, no drinks included, would also have the cash to splash out on a good time. Certainly in MY eyes, Cyclone did have the best looking PRC's in town.

I stuggle with the Stani's and CIS, I had two great regulars one Stani - one CIS and didnt mind 500, unfortunately one went back home and the other married a local - she still calls but I rather not, oddly she invited me to the wedding  .
Without question the best value or should I say bang for the buck are PRC's, but every now and then I get a craving for a nice round caucasian booty - enter CIS.
I guess I havent infiltrated the CIS network - I am doing great with the PRC's, they keep introducing me to thier friends and want me to "break in" the newbies to town. The CIS however really make me work - sometimes after negotiating I statrt to lose interest.
The Regal has some real lookers - hard to get them to smile which is usually a major red flag for me. Had some luck at The Moscow - thats when I was living across the street so I guess they saw an easy score if it was a slow night.
I guess luck comes to play as well.

Here's another story from today's Gulf News that caught my eye. Has been mentioned before: be careful what drugs you bring in here; even prescribed drugs can get you in trouble. What's legal back home is not necessarily so here extended.
What struck me was that even though he was a policeman himself, no professional courtesy or benefit of the doubt.

The Greek who pleaded innocent earlier said, "I borrowed my friend's handbag, cleaned it properly and used it to carry my belongings. I've never used or possessed drugs in my life. It is impossible for me to do something which I personally arrest drug suspects for."
The customs inspector who seized the drugs from the suspect said, 'he told me that it is for his personal use'.
